Hotel Myslivna Brno

Hotel Myslivna is located in the beautiful natural surroundings of the forests overlooking the grounds of Brno Exhibition Centre and provides a wonderful view of the Brno panorama. It is just 10 minutes from the centre of town and offers easy access to the D1 Motorway.

The hotel has 117 rooms, including 4 suites, all offering the convenience of a bathroom with bath, a toilet, satellite television, a telephone and hairdryer.

In the eighteen sixties a certain citizen of Brno built a restaurant in the forest overlooking the part of Brno known as Pisarky, which soon became a popular excursion destination for the inhabitants of Brno. Its visitors included such famous personalities as the writers Jiri Mahen, Rudolf Tesnohlidek and Vladislav Vancura. According to Karla Mahenova, widow of Jiri Mahen, who visited Myslivna with her sister regularly every Sunday until her death, they liked the restaurant, known as Myslivna or Hunting Lodge, so much that they planted a pine tree in front of it, which stands there to this day. The original restaurant was later turned into a poultry farm, before finally being demolished.

In the years 1942 and 1943 German soldiers erected a building in the Pisarky forests which they called Jagerhaus and used as a club. After the war the building, also furnished in period style, was turned into a restaurant and soon became a popular spot for the inhabitants of Brno for its wonderful view of the city and its excellent cuisine. Gustav Brno and his orchestra began their career on the restaurants summer terrace. A hotel extension was completed in November 1987 from plans by the architect Dvorak. From that time onwards the hotel has been short-term home to tourists from all over the world, tradesmen, businessmen and personalities from the worlds of culture, sport and social life.

The hotel complex includes a period-style restaurant with excellent Czech and international cuisine. A large terrace in natural surroundings offers barbeque specialities from spring to autumn.

Restaurant, a period-style restaurant seating 130 and offering a wide range of national dishes and specialities, confectionery products and a selection of Southern Moravian wines. The restaurant also takes in the Knight s Room which seats 14. The restaurant allows direct access to the terrace in beautiful natural surroundings, with a view of the panorama of Brno.

The restaurant is an excellent venue for receptions, weddings, promotional events and so on.

Snack bar, a pleasant area for daily use located by the entry hall, offering fast refreshments, coffee, ice cream sundaes and drinks.

Wine bar, a flexible venue with its own entrance and social facilities. Used mainly as a night bar, though the facilities it offers also makes it suitable as a small congress room or reception room for large groups. Thanks to its location and sliding doors it can also be used as an extended restaurant, thereby increasing catering capacity for large congresses, symposia, balls and similar events. It is also extremely suitable for wedding receptions. It has an entrance leading onto the outdoor terrace in beautiful natural surroundings with a view of the panorama of Brno.

The terrace provides seating in natural forest scenery, with a children s nook and an exquisite view of the panorama of the city of Brno. At the weekend you can have the food of your choice barbecued on the terrace right in front of your eyes. A wide range of drinks, coffees, desserts and ice-cream sundaes are also available.

Various musical and cultural events can be held here according to your wishes. As many as three pigs can be roasted on the spit on the terrace at the same time.

Our hotel also boasts a universal congress hall equipped with modern audio-visual equipment and with a capacity of 200 people. Above the restaurant there are four lounges with their own facilities for business meetings or social gatherings.

We also offer a fitness centre with a gym, a sauna, table tennis, volleyball, badminton, pool, electronic darts and board games for your leisure time enjoyment. The terrace offers a children s playground with attractions. There are several jogging routes in the surrounding area and the hotel also offers mountain bike hire. To make sure you can keep in touch with the outside world we also have an Internet booth. Guests can park on two large car parks with 24-hour security.

The hotel hall, the atypical zoning of the hotel hall allows for enlargement for social and company events.
Congress hall., the congress hall is the perfect venue for company presentations, various kinds of social events, conferences and symposia with the use of audio-visual equipment. Sound equipment, microphones, data projectors, overhead projectors, slide projectors, screens, CD player, flip-chart, video projectors, video recorders and video camera. Another feature it offers is the possibility of simultaneous interpreting into five languages.

The Wedding Room , furnished for the holding of wedding receptions. Also used for conferences and company negotiations.
