Welcome to the Family Hotel "U Kata" in Kutna Hora. Our Hotel's name means "The Executioner" and it is located at the boundary of the Historic Centre of the City, where, in the Middle Ages, the Town Wall stood. A section of it still remains, namely the Executioner's Gate, the only spot at which he was allowed to enter the town - and then solely in order to carry out his grisly work. Hence our name.

We are also close to the Klimeska Sports Complex where the facilities include an Indoor Swimming Pool, Outdoor Water Park, Tennis Courts, a Beach Volleyball Court, a Summer Sledding Track, a Fitness Centre, Sauna, Massage and a Winter Skating Rink. The combination of the central location of the Hotel, its facilities, the ease of transport connections, the availability of protected parking and our economical prices encourage a wide range of possible programmes for family accommodation and for business activities. Within the Hotel there is also a stylish Medieval Tavern, renowned for its Czech-French-Italian Cuisine with an additional non-smoking Salon, a room which is also available for Presentations and Courses. We also offer Bicycle Rental and a large Car Park.

Only a few minutes walk away are the main architectural monuments for which Kutna Hora is famous and which are the reason for the City's inclusion in the UNESCO World Heritage List. These include the Italian Court, St. Barbora's Cathedral, the Jesuit College and the Small Castle.

For our guests who arrive by car we offer a locked parking area which can be reached from Stefanikova Street, almost opposite the Benes Bakery and close to the junction with Masarykova Street. If you are using public transport to come to Kutna Hora we highly recommend arriving by train and booking to Kutna Hora Mesto, close to the Centre which is a five-minute walk from the Hotel. Most trains to Kutna Hora Main Station have a connection to Kutna Hora Mesto.

Our Restaurant offers an intriguing gastronomic experience with its wide range of Czech-French-Italian Cuisine served in the agreeable ambience of a Medieval Tavern with a capacity of 50 guests. and can exactly fulfill the expectation of a Romantic Dinner, served by candle-light. After dinner you may choose to enjoy delicious Pilsen or Kutn? Hora Beer, select from our wide range of Czech and International Wines or sample our celebrated Tiramisu, prepared according to our own secret recipe.

In accordance with your needs and wishes we can organise private or business celebrations, from small and intimate to booking the whole tavern and salon. Our facilities are suitable for Birthday Parties, Weddings, Business Events, Wine-Tastings, Graduations, Parties for Customers or Buffets for Seasonal Parties. On request we can also provide service in traditional costumes, including Executioner Mydlar, with options of fencing, belly-dancers, fire-eaters or jugglers and the possibility of Live Medieval Music - whatever you need to make your evening an unforgettable experience.

The non-smoking Salon restaurant, with a 40-seat capacity, is also available for groups and for individuals who may take advantage of a free Wi-Fi Internet Connection.

In the Summer Months the Garden Area is open and is suitable for Outdoor Wedding Feasts or for Barbecues.
