CRICCIETH, UK We stayed at the Hotel in December 06. Got picked up by a minibus at the airport, even though we were 3 hours late due to snow storms. The Hotel is in a mainly pedestrianised area, so there is a short walk to the hotel (50m). The staff help you with the luggage, which is handy as there is no lift that we found. We originally booked a first floor room, which was a little on the small side for a family of 3. Once we enquired, we were offered the attic room (which doesn\'t sound great), and the staff hurridly moved our luggage up a narrow staircase, through a non-discript door into the most delightful apartment on two levels. Bathroom, massive bedroom with great views over the main square and the clock, stairs upto an equally beautiful bedroom (big enough to swing a gorilla round without hitting the sides), and another fantastic bathroom, all centrally heated. Either side of the comfortable double bed, are two circular windows that allow you to watch the snow falling all around. Breakfast is in the main hotel, which means walking out and along for approximately 20m, and is weell worth it. Staff are bi-lingual and excellent in their attention and service. Restaurants all around, although the hotel restaurant is pricey for what you get, but there is a fantastic Italian, just behind and below the church to the right of the hotel at the other end of the square. Don\'t often stay somewhere twice, but this one is on the list. The Christmas Market is within 30m of the hotel, and the rooms are incredibly quiet. Disabled travellers may want to check the suitability of the hotel before booking as its a climb to the rooms

Stuttgard, Germany We stayed at the Apostolic Residence for three nights in May, in a room with a view of the Astronomical Clock. We booked based on the reviews here and we were not disappointed!
We opted for the hotel-arranged transport to and from the airport. And let me tell you, at only 25 Euro each way, this is one of the best bargains in Europe. I highly recommend using this method of transport for the lowest worry factor. Additionally, we felt like rock stars when our driver pulled us right into the main square in a sleek silver Mercedes, and we were immedaitely met by a member of the hotel staff who whisked our bags away!
The location of this hotel cannot be beat. We watched with amusement the crowds gathering around the clock at all times of the day and night, while we were able to see everything perfectly from our window. That was great fun in itself. At this hotel, you are within walking distance of everything.
Our room was large and filled with interesting antiques. The bathroom was brand new, with beautiful marble throughout. The \"shower\" was the typical bath tub with a hand-held shower head and no shower curtain, but that wasn\'t a problem for us. The room even had air conditioning, which we did utilize at night since it was rather hot for May. There was a small refrigerator in the room - a mini-bar - that could be used for small bottles of water or soda if needed (and if the contents of the mini-bar were removed for this purpose). Also, the windows are double-paned and, when closed, we heard absolutely no noise from outside. when opened, there was a constant buzz of activity from the old town square.
Breakfast was served, buffet-style, in the main part of the Grand Hotel Praha, which is just a few doors down from the Apostolic Residence. There was a typical selection of food, all of which was very good. Coffee service was a little slow one morning, but we weren\'t in a hurry. Aside from a lady who attempted to steal my purse (I\'d left it at the table while getting coffee) right in front of my husband, we had no complaints!
This was my second trip to Prague, and I have to admit that I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the cuisine in the city. We had phenomenal food everywhere we went. Some restaurants we tried and highly recommend: Cervena Tabulka (Google the name for address; kind of a hike, but you can walk there); micro-brewery Pivovarsky Dum (best beer I\'ve ever tried); Ariana (an Afghan restaurant in the vicinity of the hotel); and Rasoi (an Indian restaurant in the vicinity of the hotel).
For some unique and fun things to do, I suggest trying to Black Light Theater while in Prague. It is a little strange, but it is unique to Prague and therefore I would definitely recommend it! I would also recommend trying the different micro-breweries, as we had some of the best beer of our life in Prague. Additionally, try to the Museum of Torture and the Museum of Communism for a different pace.
All in all, we absolutely loved the Apostolic Residence, and we would not even consider another hotel if we return to Prague for another visit!

Cork, Ireland I stayed in The Apostolic for three nights with friends on a sports trip. The hotel is situated in the main square within walking distance of all the main sights in Prague. The rooms are very large, luxurious and very clean. The staff are extremely helpful and all spoke very good English. The breakfast room overlooks the Astronomical clock and the choice of food available at the buffet will set one up for the day. I found the reception staffed 24 hours a day and had no problem getting in at 5 in the morning without a key. Also the staff could not have been more helpful when a problem arose and I was allowed to use the computer and printing facilities in their own office. Even though situated in the main square I could not hear any noise in the bedroom. There may be a problem for someone with mobility issues, as there are a lot of steps to get to some bedrooms. Overall I would regard Prague as the best and friendliest city I have visited and the hotel would be one of the best I have stayed in.

Moscow The hotel is remarkable mainly the central location. Room have seemed to me not absolutely convenient, big and fresh. But for an old building in city centre it is permissible. Service and a breakfast at hotel level ****.

New York City This is the perfect hotel in the perfect location. I absolutely loved it. I paid a premium to have a room with a view of the Old Town Square and Atomic Clock. I think this was a good choice. My room was long and narrow and seems like it once may have been a larger room, cut in half. But don\'t get me wrong, it wasn\'t too small. It was fine, square footage-wise. It was nicely decorated and equipped. Comfy bed, Cable TV, mini bar, in-room safe, two armoires, a table and chairs, adjustable room temp, fluffy robes, and a fantastic view. Even laying in bed, I had a view of St. Nicholas Church. I didn\'t want to close my curtains at night and keep out the view. The bathroom was beautiful, modern and clean. There was a free internet station located on the second floor, just outside my room. Certainly all my needs were met. The hotel itself was lovely and quiet. Apparently there was quite a lot of noise just outside my window until the wee hours of the morning, but I was so exhausted at this point in my trip, that I slept right through it. If you are a light sleeper, you may want a room in the back of the hotel. Or earplugs.
The staff were friendly and helpful, although I didn\'t find out till too late that they sell metro tickets at the desk. Be sure to ask if you need some.
Breakfast was fantastic. Really great. I can\'t recommend it enough. It was included in the price of my room. But for those who don\'t have it included, it\'s 290 czk (approx. $16.00).
The reception staff speak English. The servers in the cafe and breakfast room speak very little.
I would absolutely stay there again!
