Prague, Czech Republic Hotels and Apartments

Located in Mala Strana area, close to Charles Bridge and easy access Prague castle. Great restuarants close by - eg Kampa Park and lots of bars/restuarants around and under Charles bridge. So location wise it cannot be faulted.
The single room i booked however was disappointing and not cheap (170USD per night). The room was located in the adjoining building rather than the main building of the hotel and faced the car park - which was noisy at night. The entry to the room was right off the street - so not particularly safe at night. The bathroom was tiny and old, and I had to request the shower-head to be fixed as it was broken when i had arrived. The room itself was also very old. There was a Safe & internet was free. I would not recommend this hotel, UNLESS you can secure a room in the main hotel building. Otherwise you are paying for second class accomodation at best.

We stayed at the Waldstein Hotel this summer and was very pleased with the close location to all the major attractions in Prague-we never took transportation but walked all over the city!
This is truely a unique and lovely place to stay, quite and a historic antique-but totally updated-furniture in the nouveau style-large rooms some with kitchen -shutters open to a view of Prague Castle. The hot/cold breakfast is served buffet style in a charming vaulted and stone cellar-and what a variety! The staff was very helpful and spoke English. There was even internet and computer available in the lobby. We felt we were in \"Old Prague\" would definately return to the Waldstein!

The Hotel had a charming and ancient atmosphere. Great location!
