Templepatrick Lucky those who get their room bookings honoured by the Waldstein. I booked this hotel on 9/12/04 through Hotels for 31/12/04. Given the positive reviews and a strong desire to be in the Mala Strana area the Waldstein seemed ideal. When we arrived at 1pm on New Year\'s Eve to check in we were told we were being relocated due to \"technical\" problems. Other travellers seemed to be having a similar experience as they hung around the lobby waiting for an alternative to be found. No explanation was given as to what \"technical\" meant other than there seemed to be too few rooms for too many guests. We ended up at an affiliate hotel - the Mucha - which was adequate but in a rather unattractive area on the periphery of the city centre, a 40 minute walk from Mala Stana. A major disappointment.

Oxford, United Kingdom Stayed there in November.
The location of this hotel could not be better. The Hradcany & Mala Strana are definitely the nicer side of the River. Nicely hidden away in a quaint and quiet square it is perfect for exploring the Castle and surrounding streets. There are plenty of good restaurants and shops all within walking distance from the hotel. The room was huge and full of character. The Breakfast buffet is very good and the hotel staff are helpful and friendly. The only downside was the acoustics due to the inner Courtyard- the wooden stairs result in every step or door closure by guests can be heard quite clearly in your room. That said we would stay here again but choose a room away from the inner Courtyard.

London, UK A lovely quaint hotel in a great location, below the castle and next to the parliament buildings on a small square a mere 5 minutes walk to the Karls Bridge. There is limited parking available in front of the hotel and the reception staff did their best to ensure that we got a space there upon our arrival.
Our room was on the ground floor with vaulted ceilings, a kitchen and a huge private bath, antique furniture, and charming antique panelling - it was actually more a suite.
The breakfast is served in the vaulted cellar - a small but unique location and a brilliant buffet experience.
The staff was very helpful and friendly- even cheerful and the stay in this hotel made the visit to Praque unforgettable!

UK Have stayed here three times, a gorgeous hotel with character and a great quiet location. Each room is uniquely furnished - had one with a painted ceiling, another with a pair of canopied beds. Absolutely great! Will definitely stay again

Coconut Creek, FL The experience was greater than I could have ever imagined. We had a suite with 2 private baths and several beds. More than enough room. The maid service was excellent- down to the folding of my clothes everyday. Breakfast was sufficient and the staff was friendly and helpful.
The location couldn\'t have been better. It is located off a quiet street within walking distance of every tourist site in the Lesser Town area. I would highly recommend this hotel and would even stay there again on any future visits to Prague!
