Newcastle Just got back from a stay at the Mucha, loverly hotel however the four star rating may be a little flattering.
I booked it after reading the reviews on here and comparing prices from the easyjet website.
Location slightly out of the main part of the city and a little grubby in places - however appeances can be deceptive and some of the best resteraunts we ate in were very close by. The Hotel Resteraunt was also very nice and the food excellent.
Public Transport is fantastic we bought a five day pass for tow for about £14 for all trams, buses and metro\'s fantastic value. This allowed trave to and from the airport and unlimited transport about the city.
The free internet in the lobby was very useful and the bar prices are more than reasonable. Breakfast was fine with a good selection however the level of service and selection diminished the later you arrived.

Blackburn Lancs Just got back from a stay at the Mucha and can say that the hotel is well worth a visit.I booked it after reading the reviews on here and comparing prices from websites and other hotels and can honestly say that the hotel is a little cracker. If it has one fault it would be it\'s location which is about a 15 min walk from Nametsky republicky but there is a tram stop nearby which will get you into town very quickly. It has free internet in the lobby and the bar prices are more than reasonable,we didn\'t try the food other than breakfast but plenty did and I heard no complaints
Just a word of warning whilst we were at breakfast one morning a man who had left his bag on his seat whilst he got up to get his breakfast returned to find it gone and did not get it back, this in quite a small breakfast room and nobody saw a thing!
As has been mentioned before Prague is beautiful and a surprise around every corner awaits.
DO NOT change money at the exchange shop in the Castle it is a total rip off
I can recommend Prague airport shuttle who were waiting for us at the airport and who picked us up when they said for the return for 1800czk for the six of us,probably not the cheapest but reliable.
Another recommendation is the Olympia restaurant,I wish I had had more time to stay but alas we only had 3 days

East Yorkshire Just returned from a family weekend in Prague. Prague is well known for its inexpensive hotels but at the price I paid for this I can\'t believe the standard we got. We asked for a triple room for two adults and our 14 year old son and at an extremely low price they gave us an apartment on the top floor, two bedrooms a lounge , balcony, free tv and use of a sauna and fitness room (not used). It also had a minibar not free but inexpensive and a bathroom with bath and shower that was kept very clean for the whole stay and never ran out of hot water. The breakfast was included in the price and included a wide selection of foods with more than enough to fill anyone including my 14 year old, normally an impossible task. The restuarant and bar are well run and very friendly, though after 9 o clock the menu becomes somewhat restricted and after 10;30 the kitchen closes so even if you have had your main course you can\'t order a sweet. The bar then stays manned till 11:30 or later depending on demand. Altogether an extremely pleasant place I would recommend to anyone.

Atlanta We stayed here two nights and were very pleased with the cleanliness of the room and the English speaking staff. The bathroom and room were both very spacious. Two main train lines are only one block away. We felt safe walking there at all hours. There is a store conveniently located in between hotel and train. The street noise was very bad with the windows opened at night due to the trolley/bus passing by several times throughout the night. There is construction nearbye, however, it did not cause a problem at night. Internet in the lobby was free. Breafkast was the traditional breafkast options there - cereal, breads, meats, cheeses, some veggies and fresh fruit. You could even special order eggs or a waffle at no charge.
When we returned to Prague for our final night in Europe before flying out, the Mucha had apparently overbooked, but indicated to us in a note that there was some technical problems with the hotel. Anyway, they upgraded up to a better rated hotel in Wenclesas Square and provided a free bottle of champaigne and brought us to the hotel.

Edinburgh We stayed at the Hotel Mucha in late June/early July to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary and it thoroughly lived up to everything positive we\'d read about it, and for those who gave criticism I can only say that they must be very hard to please. The hotel had masses of character, from the breakfast room right up to the 6th floor where we stayed. The Mucha theme gives the place a Bohemian feel and if you like this artist then you won\'t be disappointed as his paintings are everywhere!
The room was spacious, with a large bathroom which had a bath and a shower and was well equipped if you\'d forgotten to pack essential items. There was air conditioning, lots of storage and even a small dressing area. The free wall safe was a really sensible idea, and the mini-bar well stocked and cheap. Some reviews on here have criticised the breakfasts but the choice was huge, from cooked breakfasts to cereals, fresh fruit, cold meats and cheese, cakes and pastries, and a good choice of drinks including sparkling wine! We ate in the restaurant twice to escape the rain and the food was excellent with a good choice and first class cooking. I couldn\'t fault anything we ate there. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and nothing was too much trouble for them. They were all young people studying English so were very keen to try their conversational skills out on hotel residents. The free internet access in the reception area was very useful and it was possible to check email and write home whilst enjoying a drink from the bar.
There was air conditioning in our room which was a godsend as after the rain came a heatwave. We had no issues with noise levels and even though there was building work going on further up the street it didn\'t disturb us at all. The walk into the Old Town was brilliant, it took us 15 - 20 mins but there was so much to see on the way, and ample places to stop for a beer if you wished. On those occasions when we decided to take public transport we found the Florenc metro station just a minute away, as were the tram stops. The hotel sold transport tickets so it couldn\'t have been easier to get around Prague.
If you\'re going to this wonderful city then we can\'t recommend the Hotel Mucha highly enough
