Philadelphia suburbs, PA I have just returned from staying 4 nights at the Hotel Mucha. I had a wonderful experience in Prague and the hotel lived up to my expectation.
Hotel Mucha is a nice hotel with quite a bit of character. I normally stay in business class \"chain\" hotels and the Hotel Mucha was a refeshing change of pace. My room was comfortable with antique furnishings. It did not have air-conditioning, but the weather was nice enough to sleep with the windows cracked opened. There was a little bit of street noise but it did not bother me. If you are staying in the summer, I\'d recommend you book early and ask for a room with A/C. The bathroom was modern and very clean. There is internet access in the rooms but it is not wireless. Luckily, I had remembered to pack an ethernet cable.
The hotel is very conveniently located near the Florenc metro station and it was easy to navigate Prague by the well laid out subway system. It is easy to walk back to from Old Town Square if the Metro is closed or you don\'t want to figure out the trams. Please note that there does seem to be some shady types of people hanging around outside the Florenc metro & bus station, but I was not bothered.
The staff was friendly and very accomodating. They spoke fluent English so there were no communication issues. Travellers will appreciate the excellent service of the hotel staff, as I did.
In summary, the Hotel Mucha is a quite reasonable hotel and I recommend it, if you don\'t mind utilizing the city\'s excellent public transportation system.

Dartford Kent We recently spent 4 nights at the Mucha Hotel in Prague. The hotel is clean and comfortable and within reasonable walking distance to the centre of the city.
The rooms are spacious. The breakfast is acceptable but there is room for improvement.
Overall a good place to stay. We would return to this hotel.

Ireland I stayed two nights in March 2006. The Hotel is extrememly good value, even if in many ways its a medium standard Hotel.
I had difficulty finding fault with the Hotel considering the price i paid for my stay.
The bedroom and furnishings were of an age many people would probably have long forgot. This added to my experience, the old religious pictures on the walls and the furniture would possibly have long ago been destined to the rubbish tip in many other countries, gladly they are still there and adds to the Prague experience.
The bathroom was modernised and of an extremely high standard. There was ample lotions and soaps available and more than enough towels.
In the bottom of the dresser in the bedroom was a little plastic box containing shoe polish, cloths for cleaning shoes, shoe horn and many other little things that you don\'t normally see in Hotels, this only added to the \'homely\' feeling i got about the Hotel.
Compared to the more modern Hotels, some people i am sure would call this hotel a little basic, of course they would be right, but it more than makes up with its unique character and homely feeling. I do hope they don\'t upgrade the bedrooms.

Loughborough, UK This was our first visit to Prague and we stayed here on personal recommendation and were not disappointed. Hotel is in excellent location - quiet - but not too far from centre. Metro station and trams 2 minutes away and about 20 mins walk to Old Town Square. It was very cold when we visited and the hotel was always warm with plenty of hot water whenever we needed it. Our room was quite spacious - with restored antique furniture, wood floors and modern bathroom. The hotel was very clean and reception staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was adequate but would not recommend eating in the restaurant - unless we were just unlucky!
Would definitely consider returning.

Birmingham, United Kingdom My recent stay at the Hotel Mucha was absolutely fine. Travelling on my own through eastern Europe during July I have stayed at several city hotels and the Mucha compared well with others.
My single room was small but adequate and always clean. Air conditioning was very welcome given the current heatwave in the area. The bathroom was huge and there was ample room / space for clothes storage. The prices for Mini Bar contents were unbelievable. Not normally given to using hotel Mini Bars (because of the extortionate costs), the prices at the Mucha were incredibly low.
Breakfast was fine - the usual choices of cereals, juices, meats, cheeses, breads and pastries, and I never had to wait for a table.
If there has to be any down side at all, it is the distance from the town centre which took about 15 - 20 minutes walk, but that said it was no hardship as the very reason for being in Prague is to explore.
Overall, a decent enough place and one I would consider again if I was to return to Prague.
