Hotel Mucha

UK

The Hotel Mucha (pronounced Hotel Mooka) is a lovely hotel with big well furnished rooms. Small and friendly with helpful staff. Breakfast is substantial and served between 7 - 11am which is great for early and late risers. There is a very reasonable restaurant at the hotel although we did not eat there. Prague is a wonderful city very interesting and exciting although don\'t go into the old town square late at night if you want to avoid stag and hen parties. The hotel is a good 15 min walk from the centre, this is the only draw back. Recommend Hotel U Prince in opposite the astronomical clock for a good night out with excellent food and entertainment, and Legends sports bar if just cant miss the sport back home.

Stockton, CA

My wife & I just returned from Eastern Europe and we stayed at the Hotel Mucha in Prague. The rooms are large and quiet. The staff is very helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed making it our home base in Prague. It is conveniently located about 100 meters from the Florenc metro station which makes touring Prague easy. Free internet service in the lobby made for easy e-mailing of friends and researching of sites. There is a supermarket next to the metro so you can get supplies and goodies to munch on. Make sure you go the Mucha Museum and the History of Communism Museum along with your touring of this beautiful city.

Lincoln, UK

The hotel was very easy to get to using the number 119 bus from the airport and then the metro system to the Florenc metro station. We bought a 12Kr ticket for each of us and then a 6Kr ticket for the bag on the bus which takes you to the end of the green metro line. You then buy another 12Kr per person to get you from the Devijcka metro station to Florenc changing at Mustek metro station. When you leave the train at Florenc turn right and take the stairs at the end of the platform.
The hotel is 100m from the exit on the same side of the road.

The hotel was very welcoming, we were given a deluxe room even though we had not paid for one. The room had lovely antique furniture. The hotel had a reasonably priced italian restaurant and bar next to the reception area. Breakfast was buffet style and happily fills you up for a days excursions.

Due to the hotel being so near the metro station all of Prague is easily accessible and a 15min walk takes you to Wenceslas Square. There are loads of good restaurants in the Old Town Square area which is 5mins from Namestki Republiki metro station. The castle area again can be reached by the metro and takes about 10mins on the metro.

We would recommend this hotel to anyone and will be staying there again.

Fort Collins, Colo.

My boyfriend and I just returned from a romantic vacation in Prague.
The Hotel Mucha was a perfect place to stay -- the rooms were very clean, fairly large and comfortable. The front desk staff was friendly, accommdating and spoke excellent english. The hotel restaurant served good Italian fare at riducously reasonable prices.

We returned last night from three wonderful, chilly days in Prague.
It\'s a wonderful city with much to see, do (and eat! dumplings!!).

The modestly priced Hotel Mucha makes an excellent centre for a short break. Conveniently situated nearby is the Florenc metro and tram station. We walked a lot on day one, then used the trams all of the time, particularly as our 2 year old son thought they were wonderful (as did we... heated seats!).

All of the mainly young staff at the Hotel Mucha were extremely helpful and friendly (in line with most other Czechs who seem v courteous and polite). Our room was spacious and spotlessly clean. Breakfast time offered plenty of choice. Our son even found Teketubbskies (!) on TV.

The whole hotel has been renovated since the floods of Aug 2002, and is to be recommended. We\'d definitely return.

A short walk towards Republic Square is the Imperial Cafe which is always busy, beautfully designed, and offers well priced hearty food.
We\'d also recommend catching the No8 tram from outside the hotel across the river and up to the Castle. Then enjoy meandering back via St Vitus Cathedral, the Royal Palace, Golden Lanes etc, into the Little Quarter, across the fantastic Charles Bridge, over to Old Town Square and back towards the hotel.

If you go in January, the city is beautiful but very cold. Wrap up as we did and you won\'t regret it. Enjoy Prague and Enjoy Hotel Mucha.
