Bolzano Clean and well presented, comfortable and helpful staff.
No bar,but the Churchill 200 yds down on the way into town is good for a drink.
As per previous comments breakfast is continental, ham, cheese, sausages, rolls, meats, cereals, yoghurts--enough to start you up for the day and then a 25 minute walk down to the old town square.
Although warm 26 the higest for our stay, we walked everday down and back and enjoyed it. Slight incline on the return but not steep.
Try the tour by bike to Karlstein during your stay. Pick-up outside the hotel, then a 5 hours by bike in the countryside with guide, lunch included and entrance to the castle for 1500 ck each is good value.Lots of eating placeswhich are cheaper off the main tourist spots, for a real good feast, would recommend the Ambiente Brasiliero in the shopping arcade on Na Prikope opposite the Broadway-- all you can eat menu for 565 each, including oysters ,sushi from the buffet and meat served and carved at your table.
Excellent. As we like walking, the Bily Lev was ideal for a 3 day break and we would use it again.

Bristol UK Just returned from the Bily Lev a couple of days ago.
At the moment the road outside the hotel is full of roadworks and if you are in the front of the hotel (as we were) you maybe woken very early in the morning with the drilling. Hopefully it woke be there for to much longer.
The location was about 15/20 min walk to the old sqaure and a little further to Charles Bridge. You could also get the tram which is only about 5 mins walk away. Although we didnt bother with this as the area seemed very safe to walk about (although may have looked a little seedy).
The hotel itself was ok, a little old looking in the room but to be honest we only used it as a sleeping base. The shower was nice when at the correct temp but did go from very cold to very very hot without a touch of the handle. The breakfast was as expected for a 3 star, however be warned as i did notice some \"Ants\" where the jam pot is on top of the open fridge where the meat and cheese was kept....eugh.. it did put me off a little.
Apart from that Prague itself was lovely and more than made up for the hotel.

Fribourg We stayed in March for four nights and found it to be a really good hotel. It is in a good location, close to the centre and shopping and was a good place to set out on daily walks.
Room was very clean and quiet and the breakfast excellent. When you are tired of all the historical monuments, there are hundreds of local pubs around the hotel, so dont forget to enjoy the local beer!

Cardiff Not a place I would recommend. My room was tiny and smelt damp, the staff were ok but overall not to friendly. The breakfast left a lot to be desired I really can\'t say much more, there are much better hotels than this in Prague that are in the same price bracket.

Birmingham I got moved to this hotel after being bumped down from one of their sister hotels due to some apparent problem with their water supply. Well this one\'s little better. Seriously there was no hot water in this place, at least I thought so until I realised you could get hot water if you ran the taps for up to 10 minutes. Which means you have to run the shower for 10 minutes before you actually want to use it. Waht is this, the third world? The room was clean but pokey, breakfast is basic with limited choice. This place is passable for a few days, good if you want to do prague on the cheap but has little to recommend it overall. Location is a bit out but their is a tramstop 5 mins walk away at Zizkov Football ground.
