Hotel Grand

UK

Hi there if youre looking into going to prague and you are not sure where to stay then i can highly recommend the Grand Hotel Bohemia. We have just spent 4 nights there and loved it. It is a 5 star hotel and i went with a slight worry thinking the hotel might be what i was expecting but i neednt have worried at all.
We were given a room on the 7th floor which gave us amazing views of the city from our balcony.
The rooms have been refurbished and were really lovely with crisp white bed linen, flat screen plasma tv, polished chrome lights etc. The staff were very helpful and made us feel welcome at all times.
The location was also fantastic with just a minute walk to the Old Town square and a few more to Charles Bridge.
This hotel is a fab base for romantic couples and business men alike. I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to see Prague in style.

Coleraine, N Ireland

Because I had to change my original booking we ended up at this hotel. My initial concerns about being too far out of town were unfounded - it was about a mile, easily walked and easy to find your way. Rooms are nice and big, most staff friendly, breakfasts good but oh dear! were the beds hard and low? My back was in agony each morning.

ENGLAND HASTINGS

Ok me and my boyfriend stayed at this hotel (if you can really call it a hotel) on February for 2 nights. We arrived rather late at the hotel the first night, around 12 midnight as we had more than a little trouble trying to find the hotel. After reading one of the other feed backs from another guest who stayed at the hotel, we decided to get public transport to the hotel and not get a taxi, as it seemed easy to do and wouldnt be much hassle, but after getting the bus and the tram and walking around in the cold and dark for an hour we couldnt find the hotel, we got a taxi in the end and after driving around in the taxi for 20 mins the driver found the hotel, which later on we realised we were originally just around the corner from the hotel.
So i will tell you the best way to get to the hotel:
taxi!!
No....if your looking for the cheapest way then follow these simple steps..
when walking out of the airport go straight across the crossing and turn right and the bus stop at the end is where you will need to get bus number 119 (which comes every 10 mins) you will need to get off at the last stop which is called Dejvicka and then from the same place get tram 26 to Lipanska which is 13 stops.
when in Lipanska you need to cross over the road and walk down some steps and carry on walking down the hill and you will need to take the second turning on your right, carry on walking up the road and the hotel will be on your right.
The hotel is in a rather quiet area a bit deserted but it is a cheap place to stay if your on a tight budget it is probally worth it.
rooms are very basic with a small tele, 2 single beds pushed together to make a double, the curtains are see through and just about cover the windows so be carefull whan you are getting changed! rooms are very warm which is nice if you have been in the cold all day but a bit too much when you start sweating!!
You can get a bus around the corner to the centre and reception can give you maps and guide you there. if i was on a very tight budget i would stay at this hotel again but to be honest if i was only in prague a few nights i would stay in a better hotel and closer to the center within walking distance and where there is more going on.

London

We (two of us) stayed on the 3rd floor with views of the big horse statue. Cool. There was more room than we knew what to do with, enough space for four. Warm and clean and there was no problem with the hot water or anything else. To get to town it is an easy bus trip (207) to Florec which is the nearest underground station.

Madrid, Spain

To go to this hotel from the airport, take bus 119 from the airport to the underground station named Dejvická (the last one on line A). There, take the tram line 26 and get down at Lipanska stop. Then walk down to the street of the hotel. The hotel is not located at the center of the city but several trams can get you there in 10 minutes. The trams are fast and frequent. It is recommended to draw over your map of Prague the lines of trams (5, 26, etc) that pass by this hotel, to get quickly to your destination.

The hotel is OK if your budget is small. The rooms are quite large, clean and hot (very appreciated in December), although there is certain smell a bit peculiar at first and the wardrobe has no doors. Apart from that, it\'s OK considering that you will stay most of the time enjoying Prague and not staying at the hotel. The breakfast is quite good, with several options to eat (cofee, juice, milk, cereals, sausage, yogurt, eggs, toast, breads etc).

The bottom line: if I return to Prague not willing to spend much money on hotels, I would pick this one again.
