Hotel Prague Centre

Arhus, Denmark

The good stuff first: the price was good (EUR 85 for a double room), it\'s only 5 minutes walk from I. P. Pavlova metro station, the hotel is quite new so rooms are good with new bathrooms. The downside: located close to a fire station and directly to a 4 lane road with heavy traffic, the food in the restaurant was terrible. Breakfast was really bad. When we ordered some water, the cap was already opened and the water (is was supposed to BonAqua) was from the tap and smelled of chlorine! I would suggest to stay at another hotel.

Sheffield, England

We stayed at the Prague Center from 22-25 Nov. The hotel room was a decent size and very clean, as was the bathroom. Didnt try the breakfast as my partner had spotted an Irish bar where he could get a vegetarian fry up and insisted we ate there! My only fault with the hotel is the distance from Old Town Square etc. We tended to spend most of our time here and in the Little Quarter so the next time we visit we would probably pick a hotel closer to these areas. But overall the Prague Center was very good value for money and I would recommend it.

Cwmbran, Wales

We stayed in the Center hotel for 4 nights in mid January. We found the rooms a good size, nicely heated as it was -10 outside. The hotel was a 2 minute walk to the nearest metro station, we found this the easiest way to get around.

I took my girlfriend for a romantic meal at the restaurant \"Zvonice\". It is a restaurant in a bell tower. As you sit there you can see the bells over head. It was fantastic food and views, it made our trip.

We also did the usual stuff Charles Bridge, Castle, Old Town, Wenceslas Square (Bit rubbish), Museum.

Overall a good trip and we will be going back in a few years to see Prague from the inside rather than just tourists, but next year Poland. Anyway the hotel was good apart from the food DONT EAT ITS HORRIBLE.

Newcastle

Visited in April with my two sons and a colleague.

The stay was to celebrate my twin sons turning 18, we were booked into the Botel Racek but because of a problem with the water (it may have been sinking) we were transfered to this Hotel.

The taxi arrived within 10 minutes (no charge) and we transfered Hotels,
as luck would have it this hotel was closer to the city centre.

Although this Hotel was on a very busy road our room was remarkably quiet, having our room facing the back gardens may have made a differnce but i believe the windows are triple glazed.

Someone mentioned the red light district was nearby, if it was i could\'nt find it.not looking of course, (must remember to take a torch next time) , besides the wife might read this.

Rooms were clean, tidy and comfortable.

Staff in reception were able to speak english,
others in the hotel had a limited knowledge, pointing is the same in all countries and worked quite well.

Breakfast was limited, cornflakes, hot sausages, a variety of cold meats.
Orange juice was watered down
Tea was available but not great
Room was limited in the dining room.
This was my only complaint and if that\'s all i can grumble about you should be fine

Look for the restaurant Primitiv,
straight out of the flintstones staff are dressed the same and it looks like a cave, kids will love it.

Locals were fine but limited english spoken, again pointing works.

Noticed a tram driver eating his dinner whilst on service, not talking about a sandwich but a knife and fork job, that what i call laid back.

Found a great pub about 10 minutes walk away, we were only there for three nights but got on that well with her she presented us with a glass tankard each and said she was taking the next day off to recover.
She also made us promise not to come back.

We never listen, and will return to both this hotel and Prague.

Cardiff, South Wales

Spent 2 nights here over a weekend. The rooms were clean and comfortable but the noise of traffic was constant throughout the night which kept us awake. After attempting to get a seat at breakast we gave up and ate at another hotel. Some of the other guests are very territorial and wouldn\'t leave their tables until their friends had come downstairs to take their place. The coffee was vile anyway so it isn\'t worth wasting your time.

The walk into the centre isn\'t too bad (10 minutes) it depends how cold it is and beware the pavements as dog poo abounds!! We got lost and ended up in a red light district which is only about a block away. I wouldn\'t stay here again as I\'d prefer somewhere a bit more central. Irony considering the name! However, for the price it was fairly good value.
