Hotel At The Charles Bridge

Keith02

Rooms were nice, but very disappointed with the service in the bar/restaurant.

We wanted a small beer each, so I asked at the bar (no mention of talbe service), we were ignored, then looked at us like we were criminals, eventually a man brought them over, turns out they just wanted to add a service charge to our bill, for walking past me with my beer and placing it on a table 4 feet away (the closest table to the bar!)

When we asked for the bill, they grossly overcharged us, (650 crowns for 4 beers!), mumbled \"including service charge\" and walked away ! I gave them 800, expecting change, but he refused, just put the notes in his pocket and walked away.

The rooms may be nice, but have a drink and something to eat somewhere else !!!

Manchester UK

We stayed three days in Sept, and had a wonderful time. We were in room 21, on the third floor, and although there was no lift, the stairs are easy. Our room was large, and cool, with windows onto the river - lovely to wake up with the reflection of the water on the ceiling. The bathroom is very small but adequate, but for a longer stay it would be cramped. The breakfast was fine, but it would be nice to have real orange juice included, rather than being charged extra. The hotel\'s restaurant is full of character, in vaults, although the food is not the very best in Prague. The service in the restaurant is great, quick and attentive, and they let us take a glass of wine upstairs to finish in our room - although as another review says, the minibar is well priced. The location of the hotel could not be better, close to the centre of interesting Prague, but quiet. Loads of restaurants and bars nearby, all good value. We ate by the river several times, watching the boat traffic. I would definitely go back here.

Lakewood, OH

This hotel is delightful and in a great location. The hotel is very charming and the rooms are lovely. Everything was very clean and nicely decorated. The hearty breakfast was a good start to the day and the cozy room was a great place to return to each day after sight seeing. The location was very convenient as it is right beside the Charles Bridge, but it is located down a nice quiet street so its not right in the middle of the hustle and bustle. There are beautifiul views of the river and the bridge from your room. A great stay- we would definately come back.

Scotland

We stayed here for three nights, and it was a great experience.

Slightly nervous about booking purely from reviews seen here, we were not to be disappointed with this hotel right near the Charles Bridge.

The staff, friendly and helpful, the room lovely and the superb location all made the trip great.

The slight downside was the oft-maligned breakfast - there could have been a better selction of food, and there was always a queue for the toaster! But really, this did nothing to spoil the stay.

Herts England

Just spent four days at the Archibald with my mum, fantastic hotel, immacutely clean, friendly and helpful staff, good food. Some have mentioned the breakfast but there was ample, loads of diffrent breads, croissants, cereals, yogurts, fruit, cheeses, meats, egg and bacon.

We had room 21 on the third floor, no lifts but only approx 12 steps on each floor so no problem. Although all rooms looked fab. The room was roomy, fantastic views over Charles Bridge and the river, comfortable beds and cosy cotton bed linen, sofa, table and chairs, well stocked mini bar which was not overpriced, the bathroom was small (but who needs a bg bathroom when you should be out and about visiting this wondeful city ) with a powerful shower and lots of hot water, no bath, complimentary toiletries not loads but the basics.
Only thing it lacked was tea and coffee facilites in the room but the local brew was good!

Great location close to everything we didn\'t take a tram once, just walked everywhere. Go see Wencelas Square then leave very tacky. I will definetly return and use this hotel.
