Brazil The hotel does not have lift. To go to my room it was necessary to go up/down 100 steps. It was very hard.
The hotel is clean and has an excelent breakfast.
Its location is very good in the downtown of old city.

LIVERPOOL From the moment we stepped into our room we knew this was something special. Very spacious and comfortable.
The room we booked had a cracking view of the clock and it felt immense looking out on to the people gathering on the hour.
Great location, good staff, superb breakfast and immaculate.

Birmingham Stayed here for 4 nights during October 06. Having previously stayed next door at the Apostolic Residence (also owned by the Grand Hotel) , we were expecting very high standards. We were not disappointed. Our room overlooked the famous Astronomical Clock and another window had a spectacular view of the old Tyn Church and Old Town Square.
The room was beautifully furnished with antiques and the standards of cleanliness was exceptional. The en-suite bathroom was also superb.
Breakfast was buffet style set up in a restaurant overlookiing the Old Town Square and had everything you could really want.
Our room rate worked out at around £120 a night, but considering the location & quality of the accommodation, that was a fair price.
We\'ve no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone.

London Perfect central location, really friendly helpful staff, clean beautiful rooms...couldn\'t get any better. Some reviews comment on the noise from the crowds in the square, but frankly..don\'t book a hotel smack in the middle of a busy tourist spot if you aren\'t prepared to put up with a little noise!

Los Angeles, California Just arrived home from a one week stay at The Grand Hotel Praha.
The first night there were no suites available, so we had a regular room on the 2nd floor which was nice. It had a large bed, dressing area w/ armoire and small bathroom with shower. This was a decent room, although in the evening it was a bit loud from the noise in the hallway and outside the window (overlooking a courtyard). Although there are double doors, so once we shut the 2nd door, it took some of the noise away. The room also lacks walking space around the bed. So each time I walked to \"my side\" of the bed, i ran into the heater. But from what I hear Czech hotel rooms are quite small, so I wasnt bothered too much. Overall I would recommend to spend the extra 500 CZK and upgrade to a suite.
For the rest of our stay we were in a suite located on the 2nd floor, facing the Astonimical Clock and Old Town Square. The suite was VERY nice.. very large size, a private dressing area w/ 2 armoires and 2 bathrooms. The first bathroom had a toilet, a bidet and a standup shower. The 2nd bathroom had a shower/tub combo + a sink & large countertop.
This room was located directly across from the Astronomical Clock. If you are a light sleeper, this room may not be for you. And although I consider myself a light sleeper, the clock did not wake me up every hour, on the hour. I would say I was more woken up by the drunken fools outside walking the streets or the local Czech lady (who insisted on screaming at the tourists outside every night exactly at 9pm). And yes at times I was sleeping at 9pm from my 14 hour flight and sight seeing all day.
But nonetheless the view from the room was worth all the noise. The view was wonderful and every morning we walked to the windows, opened them up and enjoyed the beauty and peacefulness (and emptiness) of the Old Town Square. I don\'t think we\'ve ever had a better view in all the hotels I\'ve stayed at around the world.
The staff was top-notch and couldn\'t be more accomodating. Service is always a deal breaker for us and I would rate the service as high as a 5 star hotel like The Penninsula!
The complimentary breakfast was very good with many options. (especially the dessert cart!!)
We booked a hotel/airport transfer directly through the hotel and it couldn\'t have worked out more smoothly.
There is complimentary internet service, which would cost you per minute in most hotels. So this was very helpful!!
Overall we had a wonderful experience at this hotel and would highly recommend it.
