Ali Stanley We booked the Maximilian due to reviews on trip advisor and we were not disappointed. The location is excellent, just round the corner from the old square and easy walking distance to the Jewish sites and Charles\'s Bridge. We didn\'t use a tram as found it so easy to walk. Hotel is lovely, we stayed in the Black house on a non smoking floor and found everything to be clean and very modern with the staff happy to help any request. The breakfast is worth getting up for and runs between 6-11am so great is you have been enjoying the prague nightlife. Bombay bar (just round the corner from the hotel) serves super cocktails, has a cheesy dancefloor and is open until 4am! The honesty bar is a great idea but would be better if it stayed open a little longer. We booked the hotel taxi on way from airport and added it to our bill which was great as the driver was waiting for us at the airport and took all the stress out of getting to hotel however be aware that this cost 820 czk, when we got a taxi back from hotel to airport (the hotel called it for us) it only cost 460 czk on the meter - a bit cheeky but was an easy open! Overall a super super holiday at the Maximilian and definately recommend it.

Rockville, MD Would definitely recommend the hotel if you like contemporary design. Good location in Josevov 3 blocks from Old Town Square. Room was large (for Europe) and nicely appointed. Staff very helpful. (You can purchase tram/Metro tickets from them which is very convenient.) Excellent breakfast. Nice library and lounge.

Sydney Australia We arrived at the Maximilian tired and out of sorts after a long flight from America including lost luggage at Frankfurt Airport and a missed connection to find our booking had been put in the system as 2007 not 2006. Thank goodness for the wonderful staff at this hotel and their sister hotel \'The Josef\' where we ended up staying one night while the mess was sorted out. We found the facilities at both Hotels to be above average although \'The Josef may be a little better. Both are situated a short walk to the Old Town Square, the Jewish Quarter, The Powder Tower many good restuarants and almost anywhere else you want to go in beautiful Prague. If I ever go back to Prague I would not hesitate to stay at either of these Hotels.

Joan & Peter Stayed at the Maximilian for two nights (not enough) in August with my 3 friends. It was absolutely beautiful. Lovely rooms, breakfast excellent, and the staff couldn\'t do enough for us. The location couldn\'t have been better.
I plan to go back next year with my husband for four or five nights, and wouldn\'t stay anywhere else.

Scarsdale, NY Located on a picture-perfect small plaza just five leisurely minutes by foot from Old Town Square, this small boutique hotel was everything you could want; intimate, immaculate, quiet, well appointed, with an excellent complimentary breakfast as well. The staff was helpful, the bathrooms were well appointed, and the rooms were spacious, modern and attractive. Before going we were thinking of staying at an hotel near Wenceslas Square, but once we were in Prague we realized that the quiet area near Old Town was a far more desirable location. Welcome additions were free internet use and complimentary coffee, tea and pastry all day.
