Hotel Andel's

London, United Kingdom

I have just got back from a 3 night stay at Andels Hotel.

I originally booked a Studio Suite but was upgraded to an Appartment.

Checking in was a breeze within 3 minutes i was in my suite.

The appartment was spotless and well kept. It was very clean and the facilities were great. I got lost in the King Size Bed :-)

My only complaint is that it failed my house keeping honesty test. Whenever i stay in a hotel i always leave a small pile of loose £`s and Pence on my bedside table to see if it goes missing. In all the other hotels i have stayed at it has never gone missing, on a couple of occasions it was even neatly stacked by room service. However on this occasion it was ALL GONE.

So make sure you put ALL your valubles in the room safe.

I would have given this hotel 5 Stars but due to this petty theft i can only award 4 stars.

Please don`t be put off buy this as the hotel is excellent apart from this and the location as mentioned by others is superb.

Enjoy your stay in Prague and at Andels

Andel's Hotel in Prague was absolutely fantastic! The entire hotel is impeccably clean and appointed. The rooms are nicely sized; the beds are very comfortable, and the bathrooms and showers are spacious and modern. The breakfast is out of this world with every possible fruit, cereal, meat, cheese, juice, eggs, pastries, and etc.. The hotel staff was soooo kind and helpful on each and every request and question.

The location of the hotel is a mixed blessing. It is definitely outside of the old town, so you will experience more than just the one touristy face of Prague. The hotel has it's own private taxi's (new VW Jetta's) waiting outside the front door to take you and pick you up if you are concerned about other transport. We did walk from our hotel to downtown once, but it was a bit of a hike.

Basically across the street from the hotel is Novy Smichkov - a modern three story shopping mall with grocery store. Walking around in the mall and eating some of the local fare was a great experience. Also, there is a local pub down the street which will definitely give you a taste of Prague; I believe it was called Hudspokvic -> "The button".

Stay at Andel's and stay in (reasonably priced) comfort with great exposure to more than just the primary tourist sights.

After staying in a budget hostel for 4 nights, at the end of our trip to prague we stayed in Andels Hotel for one night having got a lastminute.com discount.

What a lovely modern hotel - rooms are small but very stylish and the bathrooms are great! delicious breakfast with HUGE selection (although if you love a traditional english don't get your hopes us as although its delicious they don't get it QUITE right!)

Great location, although most places in prague are as the trams are so efficient. 2 minute walk from metro stop and from big shopping centre. Efficient and friendly staff.

Only thing I would say is this is in the business district so tends to cater fo businessmen. It isn't a cosy romantic hotel, but it is stylish modern and a treat at the end of a budget week!

I stayed in the Hotel for 2 nights and enjoyed the luxurious experience. The Reception staff were friendly and even though we arrived early morning we were escorted to our rooms which was a delight. The room was heavenly: all mod cons: extremely comfortable beds and a fabulous bathroom.

The breakfast buffet was magnificent - pastries, cereals, cold meats, eggs - you name it, it was there. Beautifully presented and friendly staff to tend to you.

It was a great location (near a shopping mall) right beside the metro and tram lines. It was so easy to travel around especially with our travel ticket. Ok, so a pickpocket tried his luck at getting into my bag, but what city doesn't attract those unsavoury characters pouncing on tourists? I certainly wouldn't let this spoil my visit to Prague.

Cafe Savoy is a must for coffee and deserts - you can walk or jump on the tram (1 stop along).

The Hotel safely stored our luggage on the day of departure and ensured that we had transport to the Airport. It was a great Hotel and would certainly stay here again to visit Prague.
