Prague, Czech Republic Hotels and Apartments

The hotel Rott was in a great location just next to the old town square. You can walk to any of the main attractions within minutes or use the nearby tram system or metro. The hotel is clean and from what we saw well maintained. The staff were quite friendly and appeared to be able to answer any questions. Our room was probably the only disappointment. We requested a twin which we got,(214) but it was interconnected with the room next door hence you could hear everything that your neighbours were doing and saying. We were also next to the lift which was quite disturbing in the night. Apart from the noise the room was a good size with a great bathroom.
Breakfast was a nice suprise, there was a choice of hot and cold food both sweet and savory.
Overall, I would come back here again but would request another room.
One last tip, using public transport from and to the airport was very easy. Go to the transport desk at the airport and ask for a single ticket, 20ck and 10ck for any luggage you may have. The bus stop is outside the arrivals and you need a 119. This journey takes about 20mins then you get off at the beginning of Line A of the metro where you can then get straight into the centre of Prague in 5-10mins.Your ticket allows you 75mins of travel on any mode of transport, this is plenty of time to get you to your hotel.

Stayed at the Rott after a recommendation from my parents. I would classify it as a good 3* hotel. The room we had was very clean, nicely appointed and had a view of the square outside. For the money I was very impressed. We paid 90 euro per night for 3 nights inc breakfast.

Buffet Breakfast itself was plentiful if sometimes a little chaotic as they struggled to keep all the food stocked up during the peak periods. I suggest getting to breakfast before the 9.00 rush. The food itself was very good. (The hotel itself should put another member of staff on at this time.......maybe they were short staffed -I don\' t know.)

The big plus about the Rott is that it is in the most superb location about 2 minutes walk from the town square. If you are planning on seeing Prague and spending only minimal time in the hotel then you cannot go wrong.

We had to leave early on our last day and we let the staff know well before departure and they did us a breakfast box which was excellent.

In terms of value for money and location I think you will be hard pushed to find better.

On arrival we were given a very small double room (9m2 max.) with no view. The only window was somewhere at the ceiling. We had to stay on a chair to look out of the window! We paied for all this 220 EUR per night!!!!! The service was really awful!. Many times we witnessed arguments at the reception. There were lots of tiny standatrd double rooms. THe only pro is the location. We will never stay in the hotel again.
