London We arrived out out nice marble 3 star hotel in prague in the middle of the nigt with out E-Voucher only to be told that they hadnt recieved the booking and were full, and as it was teir error they said they would put us up in the Legie. When we arrived and to go up in a carpeted lift with no door and saw the room the yougens started to cry. We were very cross and were on the phone to who we booked with not wanting to stay in this monstrosity, but knowing we had somwhere to sleep we decided to stay. We were at the front of the building although high up and we had to deal with very noisy night with a stupid ignorant British drunk singing "England, England." However this can be expected in centre of any city.
When morning came we saw things in a new light, the room although basic was clean, the bathroom was clean ~(although the water was yellow! But we were assured that this was a one-off due to cleaning of the tank :-{( But anyway it was clean. The breckfast was dry but the staff were very friendly. We were just annoyed because we didnt get what we paid for. We did see that the staff were very friendly and wanted to help us in an way we could, for example a cabbie tried to over charge us by about 1000% and the receptionist came out and had words with him after we argued with him. so in the end you get what you pay for, I think that if I was travveling without young children I would definately stay here again on the budget, the fact that it was clean, and provided a base for the night.
It wasnt as bad as our first appearences took it for. We had a ery nice first trip to prague and would definately return to such a beautiful city.

d.t we have just returned from a week in Prague, staying at the hotel Legie.
Although the hotel is adequate, they are not prepared for the hot spells that we experienced while we were there.
Their website is a bit misleading to say the least, as they say that some facilities are not available all year--- eg. heating and air conditioning--- which is fair enough, but I would expect that they should provide heating in the winter, and air conditioning in the summer.
I queried the fact that their did not seem to be any air conditioning in our room, and was informed that they did not have any !!!! Why suggest to people via the website that they do have this ??
Another down side, is the fact, that from very early in the morning, police cars, ambulance service and fire service, seem to go up and down the road outside from that point, and for the rest of the day, with sirens blaring ( very loudly )
Plus side is hotel is only 5 mins walk to Wenceslas Square, and the metro is just outside the door.
Try the Legenda pub--- lovely meals, and cheap drink--- just almost round the corner from the hotel.
