Hotel Legie

Tunbridge Wells

A great hotel in a really good location. The reception staff were very
friendly and spoke excellent english. Our room was incredibly spacious
and light and very clean. The shower was okay, not the best, but did the job! The security in the hotel is pretty good too and all floors have a seperate card entry before you can even get onto your floor. The only downside is the traffic from outside is pretty loud, but luckily I always travel with ear plugs so this wasn\'t a problem for me. The location is brilliant, a straight walk to Wenceslas Square and an even shorter walk to the nearest McDonalds (perfect if you have a bit of a hangover and have missed breakfast!). I would definately recommend this hotel and would love to go back again.
Prague is a beautiful city. The people are friendly and all speak English.

UK

We stayed at the Hotel Legie in October and it was pretty cheap so we didnt hold out too much hope for the place. After all, we were just looking for somewhere to crash after enjoying a few good nights out.

The location was great - we were told 10 minutes to Wenceslas Square but it was nearer 5 minutes. Once you walk down Wenceslas Square you can easily get to the Old Town and then on to the Charles Bridge. We didn\'t need to use public transport or a taxi once which saved us money and hassle.

It is also near a tube station (opposite the hotel) if you need it plus there are cashpoints, some small shops (a 24 hr one importantly where we bought water and munchies at 5am!) a couple of bars and restaurants too if you need something quick rather than heading to the main Wenceslas Sq.

The hotel was pretty good value too. The hotel reception was competent, efficient and friendly. The lift was slow and small so not much use if you arrive at a busy time so we used the stairs most of the time - no great hardship.

The rooms were decent size - not massive but not small either. They were clean and tidy and most importantly for me had a great shower with plenty of hot water.

Breakfasts in europe are never great but this was ok - good selection of bread, cheese and cold meat plus hot eggs and sausages. We need the Full English to hit Europe for it to get any better i suppose.

Overall, we were really happy. Would definitely go back to again and recommend it.

DUMFRIES SCOTLAND

Hotel Legie is a very inexpensive place to stay in Prague. The rooms were comfortable and clean. If you like your windows open then you will be deafened by the noise of cars trams and emergency vehicles. If We return to Prague we would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Having read the reviews I was somewhat anxious about staying in the Hotel Legie...but what people appear to be forgetting is \'you get what you pay for\'...it is by no means fancy but its a reasonably priced 3 star hotel..you cant expect 5 star rooms and service.but it is central (10 minute walk to Wenceles square and the metro is just across the road), its clean and the rooms are spot on..The hotel staff are pleasent and the breakfast was fine, there was something for everybody.
fair enough the lift has seen better days but its an experience and at the end of the day there is stairs.
All in all we had a very pleasent stay and i would definately recomment this hotel, if you are looking for a cheap, basic, and clean hotel in a central location.

Hotel situated on very busy junction weather very warm no aircon
needed windows open, traffic noise could be a problem if in room to long. Room itself was clean and tidy bathroom let the accmadation down a little.
Staff very friendly and helpful price included breakfast which was better than some i have had.
Only one lift this can mean waiting, or use the stairs.
Wencleslas Sq only 10 mins walk ,Charles Bridge and Old Town short taxi ride always ask price should be 150-200 crowns we got stung for 982 crowns first time.
