Dublin, Ireland My boyfriend brought me to the Ambassador Zlata Husa on their Celebration Package for our first anniversary and I felt the hotel was exemplary. Because of our Irish nature we expected something to go wrong at some point, but it all worked very smoothly. We were picked up from and dropped back to the airport without a hitch. As part of the package we stayed in a junior suite, which was beautifully spacious and overlooked the main square. The jacuzzi bath was very relaxing, if rather noisy, and I really appreciated having a separate shower stall (with good strong water pressure). The location was excellent for exploring the city on foot and as the city centre is rather compact we found no need to use the metro or trams.
I was concerned I wouldn\'t like the meat-and-dumplings dominated Czech cusine but the food was gorgeous - no bad experiences as I had more than once in Rome, the supposed home of good food.
The mini-bar is expensive, unsurprisingly, but there are plenty of stalls on Wencelas Square where you can buy bottled water and soft drinks. We were slightly concerned there wasn\'t a bottle of champagne and flowers in our room when we arrived, as we had expected, but they arrived shortly after, along with the food we ordered from room service.
The staff were generally very friendly and all spoke good English. Overall it was a wonderfully romantic break and I felt the hotel and its staff did everything possible to ensure our weekend was as enjoyable and hassle-free as possible.

Dublin Whilst in no way could this hotel be considered five star (Four star maybe) we enjoyed our stay there. The hotel is excellently located and rooms are big and airy. The air conditioning could do with being a bit higher but I suppose these things are hard to get right when one is trying to keep everyone happy as the air conditioning is controlled centrally. The breakfast buffet is massive. There is something for everyone. As with all of these hotels the minibar is expensive and best avoided (100Kc for a coke) which is about €4.

Wooster, Ohio We were desperate. We had been booked into another hotel that turned out to be located some distance from city center. We wanted a better location. Fortunately, Hotel Zlata Husa had room. It’s a little more upscale than I normally choose, and at first I felt a bit out of place with my rumpled clothes and minimal gear. But although the Zlata Husa has the airs of elegance, it appears to be utilized by tourists and groups. The guests are at a far more casual level than those to whom the hotel was probably accustomed in its past. The staff is friendly and efficient. The hotel appears just a bit worn, but to me that’s fine—it feels broken in. The location is very good, only about 10 minutes walk from the main square—easy access to all the charms and delights of Old Prague.
The rooms are comfortable and the bathroom was terrific, We had both a shower stall and a bathtub with jets that was terrific after hard walking on the cobblestoned streets. The breakfast was excellent, complete with omelets and crepes to order and a great selection of very good food.
If you’re looking for something on the high end of the middle range, this is a good hotel. I like something a bit smaller and funkier, but I’ll always appreciate the refuge Ambassador Zlata Husa gave me from the soulless modern block I was in for one night.

NYC The hotel was easily accessible to the train station, subway and the airport so that was great. It\'s interestingly plunked in the middle of all of these shops in Wencesles Square so that adds to the safety of the location. The old town square is also fairly close- 10 minute walk.
The staff was also nice and friendly.

Ireland The Ambassador Hotel is situated in the centre of Wenscelas Square, within walking distance of all tourist attractions. Our rooms were beautifully decorated with huge bed, and marble bathroom with jacuzzi bath - which was an added treat. The rooms were spotless and cleaned daily with plenty of fresh towels, toiletries, etc. We couldn\'t fault this hotel at all - except that the \'Casino\' was a bit seedy and worth a miss! Overall would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.
