Chicago, Illinois This hotel is very nice and in a great location. Was able to walk to all tourist attractions. The staff was not as helpful as in other Countries. The staff pushed one tour company as being the \"best, most professional.\" Did the evening tour as booked by the hotel to great disappointment. The english speaking guide spoke 2 words of english then went into Czech (no Cz speaking tourists on this tour) & didn\'t even realize it. The next day I requested Grayline tours & the hotel would not call or book it. Luckily when I called after hours & left a message, they called me back @ 8AM to confirm the tours I wanted. We were very pleased with the local guides provided by Grayline company. The hotel is within walking distance to the Grayline booth or they will pick you up at the hotel.
Be careful of the currency exchange windows located several within a block. Many rates posted with \"no commission\" or \"no fee\", however the prominently posted exchange rates are not the final rate. Ask for exact amount, ex. USD for CzK before handing over the money for exchange.
Most waitstaff at the restaurants and street vendors unfriendly. Interesting place to visit, sunny days, but felt the city was \"gray\".
Medival castle, palaces, spires, buildings, and bridges. Did not get a feeling for culture as in Italy. This is a one-time visit city for me.

San Juan, Puerto Rico We stayed at the hotel for two nights. The rooms were very spacious - one had a two bedroom arrangement (for four people). Both had a bathtub with whirlpool and a separate shower. Very clean, very comfortable, not noisy at all even though it is located right in Wenceslas Square. Excellent location, great breakfast, very helpful staff...

Scotland ust back from 3 nights staying at the Ambassador Zlata-Husa in Prague. This was a last minute trip and the Ambassador was booked on the strangth of the rave reviews given on Trip Advisor. Whilst I have stayed at much worse hotels, and there was nothing really major to fault the hotel, in my opinion it did not really live up to the reviews. Our room was large and bright if somewhat dated in decor, the bathroom had a tub only and no separate shower. We had already asked for a double room rather than the twin room offered so didn\'t want to go back to the desk again and try for another room. That being said the reception staff were friendly and helpful. Th breakfast included was fine, good choice of food and really pleasant dining room staff. Th location of the hotel was ideal, literally yards from a metro stop in Wenceslas Sq. It is easy to walk around and access all the major sights uing this hotel as abase. Wenceslas Sq itself is like the Prague eqivalent of Piccadilly Circus/Times Sq - in the centre of the buzz, touristy and a bit tacky and therefore attracts various hustlers etc. Not a problem really, just deal with them firmly and they back off, never felt uneasy or intimidated at all. This is not a reason to avoid the Ambassador or its location. Overall it was an ok hotel, somewhat jaded decor-wise, could do with a spruce up - feels like the once posh but slightly fading eastern bloc hotel it is.

Juan Olivares Hello there,
I stayed at the Ambassador hotel in June for 5 nights and have no complaints whatsoever about the hotel, bedroom, bathroom, facilities, breakfast, staff, etc. Absolutely everything and everyone were fabulous!
The hotel is centrally located in Wencesla Sq within walking distance to all tourist attractions. Our room was on the top floor overlooking the square and the views were amazing. (Prague is so beautiful!)
The bedrooms are rather large and well-decorated. The decoration is classic but so classy. The bathrooms are in an excellent condition and they all have a jacuzzi.
The staff were SO helpful and friendly. Do not hesitate to speak to them for anything you may need: opera tickets, maps, etc. But don\'t forget to tip them afterwards!
The breakfast was of extremely good quality and there was a lot to choose from. There is even a cook who can make you pancakes and omelettes as you watch!
I would definitely recommend this hotel to everybody due to its excellent location, superb bedrooms/bathrooms, and first-class service.

Largs, United Kingdom Recommended by friends, Hotel Ambassador exceeded expectations during our visit in March 2005. Right on Wenceslas Square and ideal for most city centre attractions, the hotel operates to very high standards. Staff always available and very helpful, rooms spacious, well equipped with all the little exras and a real delight, breakfast was outstanding with every possible taste catered for. Crepes and omelettes prepared as you watch. Excellent location, with its own casino next door. Only 2 very small points - it would be nice to have tea/coffee facilities in the room, and sometimes the very efficient and helpful breakfast staff are a bit over zealous when clearing used crockery from your table. If it hasn\'t been touched for 30 seconds, be careful, it might be whipped away. We would return to Hotel Ambassador again and again.
