Northern Ireland We have just returned from a 5 day trip from Ireland to the Czech Republic. For the first 3 days we stayed in Kutna Hora - this is a lovely little town about 30 miles from Prague accessible by bus or train (although the town centre square is a 5 minute taxi ride from the rail station). It was very quiet when we were there (February) but we very much enjoyed the tranquility. Highlights were eating Czech food in the local restaurants, visiting St. Barbara\'s Cathedral (one of the most impressive churches in Europe with some very old wall paintings) and walking around the town which is very old and beautiful. The town brews a local beer (in light and dark varieties) called \'Dacicky\' which is worth trying. We stayed at a hotel called U vlasskeho dvora which, oddly, isn\'t listed by Trip Advisor but does make it into the \'Rough Guide\' - it was a super little place, very friendly and has a good restaurant. My wife tried the hotel sauna and enjoyed the experience. So, if its a peaceful time in a quiet spot you\'re after then Kutna Hora is a good venue (it\'s also more than worth a day trip from Prague).
