Hotel Roma

Madrid

Could not fault anything. Very clean and spacious rooms. We were given an appartment by mistake, with two bedrooms and a small living area and we were allowed to stay there when the mistake was found out. The largest bedroom had a super king-size bed and the room was huge. That was actually the only room we used, because it had the tv.
The breakfast buffet was also very good, with plenty of choice for everyone and they even had scrambled eggs and frankfurter sausages.

Cleethorpes

Travelled with my wife and 8 friends to celebrate my 50th birthday. Everything was great with lovely spacious rooms, friendly knowledgeable staff and the continental breakfast was great. The location was brilliant, a 10 min stroll from Charles Bridge and if you don\'t feel like walking the tram stops right outside.
Although tea and coffee were provided in my room, they aren\'t complimentary so be warned. It is also hit and miss whether you even get tea and coffee as others in our party didn\'t. Still these are very minor complaints and didn\'t impact on our stay at all.
The hotel does not provide evening meal however there is a fabulous and very reasonably priced restaurant right next door (La Bastille).
All in all it was excellent and I will definitely stay at this hotel again. Oh yes and when you walk into the reception, be sure to have a look at the shark in the fishtank. Awesome.

Brussels

We stayed at this hotel with our friends who have 2 children, the hotel is \"kid-friendly\". The rooms are clean and large and the location is great, its right on a main tram line and only a short walk from Charles Bridge, the Castle and most of the main attractions. There are also several other good restaurants in the immediate area of the hotel. Its a \"good\" hotel, the staff are nice and its clean, its just not superlative in any way, its a good solid average hotel and a good pick if you are looking for a decent place, for a modest amount of money in a good location. The hotel is NOT air-conditioned, however, and does NOT have ceiling fans and IS located on a fairly well travelled street so if you have the windows open at night, you do get a lot of noise from traffic and passers-by. Even if going in fall/winter, I would still recommend trying to reserve a room on the backside of the hotel away from the street.

Godalming. Surrey England

The hotel Roma is in a good position opposite the funicular railway which runs to the top of petrin hill. The No.22 tram stops outside, this is the tram to the castle. The hotel is an old building which has recently been totally refurbished. The rooms are not air condition as the octupus web site claimed, but the rooms are clean, bright and well laid out. The self service breakfast was very good and the staff very helpful. From the airport I would recommend using the Cedaz mini buses at a cost of 480 Kc (£11) for up to 4 persons. They have a booth adjacent to the exit doors of the airport terminal. The mini bus will deliver you to your hotel and the hotel will arrange your return to the airport with them.
It takes about 10 minutes to walk to Charles Bridge, Go in the tourist information office in the tower and buy a tram/metro ticket, we used a 3 day pass at 200 Kc (£4.65).
I would recommend this hotel, we stayed for three days and had a pleasant stay and the fact that we could board a tram outside the hotel and travel around the city (and what a city!) was a bonus.
