Hotel Residence Seifert

Val della Torre (TO)

Seifert comes highly recommended for anyone wanting a clean & comfortable stay! The rooms are spacious and warm with modern bathrooms. We found the reception staff friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was nice if you like beans and carotts.

There is a quirky little market on the way into the centre selling an array of junk to include knuckle dusters & batons, very handy!!!

We moslty travelled by taxi but also tried the tram, metro & buses. You have to be quick, these don\'t tend to hang around!! Make sure you aggree a price with your taxi driver before going anywhere as we got ripped off after too much to drink.

Shop around for restaurants as they vary in price a lot. We had some cheap meals and the food was lovely. Be aware they might stick an added charge on your bill if there is live music.

Prague is a brilliant place! Lots to do and see. The Mini Eiffle Tower is worth a look but closed during week days!! The surrounding park is nice, some great kodak moments there. The castle is also nice to visit, we found the oldest pub in Prague not too far away.

Enjoy Seifert!! It\'s very mellow yellow :-)

We travelled to Prague at the end of January, and had an amazing time.

We got a taxi from the airport to the hotel. The taxi driver was great, he taught us how to say \'hello\', \'thankyou\' and how to work out the Czech Koruna\'s to the GBP.
When we arrived at our hotel, we were welcomed by a very friendly man in reception.

The hotel was very clean, warm and friendly. The beds were comfortable, the shower was lovely, and the breakfast was good too (even though they did have peas & carrots!!!).

We got a taxi to the centre, and regret doing this really as we figured out how easy and cheap the public transport was on our last day! You do need to be careful of pick pockets, but this is the same as any big city really.

Prague itself is beautiful. The buildings are amazing & the quaint cobbled streets are lovely too. I must admit that i thought Prague would be quite \'seedy\' and \'dirty\', but it was the opposite - it was a very clean, beautiful city and i would recommend it to anyone.

We found some lovely restaurants to eat it. We ventured out of the city and ate in the traditional Czech restaraunts where the average meal is £3 and a beer/wine is about 50-75p. In the centre we would pay about £3 for a shandy! (Our men got this as the czech beer was too strong)

There are some lovely bars by the Astronomical clock. We sat outside on the hour with a lovely hot chocolate and whipped cream. Everyone gathers around to see the amazing clock do its work.

The mini Eiffel Tower was great with brilliant views across Prague, and so was the Castle. However be careful if you are walking back down the big hills, i had to grab my friend from falling over the edge!!!

I found that the Czech people were either really nice or really eggy. Be careful when you are using toilets, some bars dont mind but others get really stroppy and demand about 25p.
We also got ripped off by a taxi one night. Make sure you discuss a flat rate before you get in one!!!

All in all Prague was great. The hotel was brilliant too and I would definately recommend it to anyone travelling to Prague. Its not in the centre as advertised, but is not too far away.
The people were great. No matter how drunk you were when you rolled into the reception and used their stamp to stamp your head, they carried on smiling! When one of the men we were with came in with a rat on his shoulder they were not phased by this either!

Brilliant hotel, comfortable, clean and very friendly - thumbs up!

Rapport qualite-prix excellent.

The hotel is modern, smart, clean and very well presented with tiled floors throughout and lovely rooms. However, lovely as the tiled floor is, imagine being woken up at night when other guests come back as every footstep resonates throughout the hotel. Furthermore, the only way you can access the hotel is by pressing a buzzer which echos throughout the hotel. All the balconies face onto a communal terrace on the ground floor which, when a group of people are sitting there having a laugh and a drink late at night/early hours of the morning, is very frustrating when trying to sleep. The doors also slam quite loudly so yet another sleep disturbance. This is a great hotel if you can sleep through anything but lighter sleepers will find it impossible to get a good night\'s sleep, if any.
