Hotel Residence Seifert

Ireland

i agree with previous reviews . great hotel. great resteraunt recommended on hotel on night of arrival. its name was \'U radnice\'. get directions from reception. Hotel is about 30 mins walk from start of tourist trail, which by the way goes on for about 3 miles right up to prague castle.bus 133 great as directed on sight. and will land you in centre between castle on one side and shopping on other side. no major security concerns in city except watch out for the change scams from the stall holders. we really liked the city. would recommend highly.

edinburgh

We loved this hotel. It was clean, modern and very cheap. We paid only £50 including breakfast for a 2 night stay. Although the location is slightly out of town centre it was worth the 5 minute bus ride on the very frequent no. 133. Although the area is slightly run down we always felt safe and would not hesitate to stay there again. The hotel lobby is open 24 hours and entry is always via entry phone which we liked for the added security. The mini bar is very affordable and the reception sells wines, beers etc all at great prices.

We ate in the Chinese restaurant opposite the hotel and had the best Chinese meal ever. Two courses each with 2 beers, a glass of wine and a bottle of water for just £14. Also tried the restaurant round the corner (out the hotel, turn right, right again and it\'s on the next corner). £11 for 2 main courses, 3 beers and 4 glasses of wine! The pub just over the road (next to the underpass) is great. Very friendly staff, good bar food and again very cheap.

We bought the 3 day travel pass from the stand at the airport and hopped on and off the trams and buses around town as well as using them for travelling to/from the airport. I\'ll repeat and add to previous instructions already posted by someone else for getting to the hotel from the airport -

Bus no. 100 leaves from just outside the arrivals hall. Take this to the terminus called Zlicin(15 mins) where you get the metro to Florenc (30 mins). When you leave the metro make sure you are on the same side of the road as McDonalds and get on the no.133 (destination Sidliste Maleslice) or the no. 207 (destination Ohrada) bus. You stay on for only 2 stops (the stops are far apart) and in light traffic this will take 5 mins. The stop you get off at is called Tachovske Namesti. Walk up the hill for about 1 minute and you will find the hotel.

Stay at this hotel, you won\'t regret it!

New York City

I loved this hotel. We stayed for 6 nights in December and it was a great home base. Although the area is in a slightly run-down part of town, it\'s so easy to get around the city, and the 133 bus is just down the street, and only took about 5 minutes to get to the Stare Mesto. The hotel staff, although not outwardly friendly, were very helpful and we were able to access everything we needed during our stay. The free internet was also very helpful and a nice service. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and our room was spacious, spotless, and cleaned every day. There is a small grocery store nearby, and lots of pubs for nighttime. Actually, we found two that we loved so much close by the hotel that we hardly spent any time in the city center later at night.

Would definitely stay there again on our next visit to Prague.

Preston, UK

Just come back from Prague. Glad to say that the Seifert hotel was all it was cracked up to be. The rooms are fairly large, comfortable, spotlessly clean and well maintained. They are not air conditioned which could be a problem during a heatwave.
The continental breakfast is of a good standard, and cooked eggs are available to order.
The location is about 35 minutes walk from the centre and there is excellent public transport.
The area outside the hotel is run down, but well lit, so at no time did we feel threatened. The other plus of this area is that it caters for students, so eating out is between 30 and 50 percent of the prices in the centre. The pub Planeta, about 200metres down the hill was particularly good value, as was the Italian about a further 200metres oppposite the sex shop
