London I really wanted to take my boyfriend on a great city break and following the advice of a friend I decided on Prague. Having spent a long time searching the internet for good, budget hotels near the town centre I found the Atlantic.
Before we went I emailed the hotel (on advice from another reviewer on Travel adviser) to request a top floor room and to ask about transfers. They were really helpful and friendly and arranged for our top floor room and a taxi at a fixed rate from the airport.
When we arrived we found the staff to be very warm and welcoming and the room to be clean and tidy. We had everything we needed and the room wasn\'t too small. The bathroom was lovely, which I was more relieved about than my boyfriend and we were both suprised that the shower pressure was still really good on the top floor.
The hotel is ideally located for exploring Prague, it is situated just down a road from Old Town Square. We cannot complain about the location at all as we were able to do all the major siteseeing by foot! If you have the time wander down to the river side (just up from the Charles Bridge) and jump on a boat up the river! A great way to get a different view of Prague.
One of our favourite things about Prague was it\'s food!! We even found a great place that had a string quartet on our first night. There\'s also a great underground restaurant just up one of the side streets from Old Town Square (to the right of the church) We would also recommend the Jazz Lounge for a great night out and a trip to the Black Theatre - which had a dance/comic mime show on at the time.
there are always food places wherever you go - so if you are wiling just take a walk and see what you find. We found a few great places tucked away so I\'m sure there are many others.
The only thing I would say about the hotel is that although they say breakfast is served until 9 make sure you get there by 8:30 otherwise you won\'t get any. As such we cannot comment on the breakfast as we never actually made it.
On the last day the hotel also provided luggage storage when we checked out and arranged for a taxi to the airport.
All in all we had a fabulous stay at the Atlantic Hotel and it was certainly value for money!! I would certainly recommend this hotel and would happily stay there again if I were to ever return to prague.

Herzogenaurach, Germany Excellent staff. Very helpful and knowledgeable. Car parking was convenient, close, and safe. Hotel is within 5 minute walk of main attractions in Prague. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Suggest going to breakfast early as the last hour has only remnants of food.

North Carolina We traveled to Prague with our 20 month old baby, and arrived at Hlavni Nadrazi train station. Hotel location is excellent. We could easily manage the luggage & the baby stroller the few blocks walk from the train station. From the hotel we walked to all the tourist sites over a 2 day period.
At check-in, the reception service was excellent - they were expecting us from our expedia reservation & check-in was super quick. We took the elevator to our triple room with a portable crib for the baby. Everything was very clean, including the bathroom. The room was light and airy, and a good size that the baby could run around. Beds were comfortable.
Breakfast was included with our rate - the restaurant was on the ground floor at the hotel. The food selection was pretty straightforward, a selection of breads, meats, eggs, cheeses, yogurt, fruit, etc.
For dinners we walked to some nearby trendy cafes & restaurants - delicious food at Celnice.
Overall, we were delighted with our experience at Hotel Atlantic and would stay again & would recommend it to family & friends.

London, United Kingdom We stayed in this hotel in May 2007 for two nights and were not that impressed.
On the advice of other posts we asked for a room at the rear of the hotel and were rewarded with a very quiet room on the 2nd floor (no street noise at all).
The rooms were spacious and basically furnished, though adequate (No English TV channels if you wanna chill for an hour or so).
No problems with the bathroom at all and we found the room to be cleaned to a high standard.
Generally the staff were very helpful and friendly.
We did find the blonde woman at reception to be very rude (as others have noted).
We asked her to call to book an external airport transfer for us from reception. She refused as they have their own TF service and expected us to pay almost double for that (so much for sonsumer chioce). Sadly then we had to try about 10 phone boxes around town to call ourselves to find none worked and some took our coins. In the end we had to call from the hotel room and cop the (small) charge. Not the best thing to be doing whilst also sightseeing on your last day.
The beds were like sleeping on rock, say no more!!!!!
We wanted to arrange a late check out and were willing to pay for this of course. We were told to check the night before and then told to come back at the normal check out time and ask. In May the hotel hardly seemed full and a surge of tourist bookings over night seemed unlikely. In the end we got the late check out at a rate of 150 extra per hour.
The location as stated is within walking distance of points of interest though not as close as I expected. You are very close to the Powder Tower though Charles Bridge is about 15 to 20 mins walk. This is not too long but not great in the rain without an umbrella lol.
There is free internet in the lobby but many times it was not available as other guests would sit there chatting online.
As a side note, stop by U Medvidku (pub) for beer and dinner - we loved it! Cheap beers and great food.
Overall you get what you pay for. This is a cheap enough hotel, close enough to all the sights. Mostly the bed and hassle with the transfer and late check out put us off!
