Coventry, United Kingdom We have just spent a wonderful 3 days at the Atlantic Hotel in Prague. We were more than happy to find the guide books were ( inaccurately) less than comp[limentary about aspects of Prague that we found to be more than satisfactory. No surly waiters for a start!
the ambience and architecture were more than we hoped for and there were no problems finding good bars/ restaurants for eating & drinking.
Our hotel, the Atlantic was very good & to be recommended. the situation was excellent as were the facilties.
I for one hope to return to Prague in the not so distant future.

Ireland When we arrived at Prague airport we took the shuttle bus into the city. Excellent value.Do not go near the taxis as we discovered to our cost later in our stay! Our bus driver spoke some English and was able to direct us to our hotel. From the bus stop this is a very short walk.
The staff at reception were friendly and helpful. Our room was basic but spotlessly clean. It was very quiet and as it was on the fifth floor we had a nice view over Prague.
The bed was very cosy and the shower nice and powerful. However we would have liked a kettle to make a cup of coffee.
All in all this is a lovely hotel in an excellent location and very good value for money.

Mr. + Mrs. Walters I have spent some days in hotel Atlantic. We would like to thank to receptionist Lenka and Jitka for making our stay in the ATLANTIC so enjoyable. I do appreciate all that was done for us and we will always remember the kindnesses extended to us.
Jitka booked our TOP TOURS and these were really beautiful and rang Korean airlines to reconfirm our flights.

STL It was my first time in Prague and I hope to return. The hotel was an excellent value. Rooms clean and the staff very helpful. You have to keep in mind they try hard to understand English, they will never say they do not fully understand. Reality is that they try very hard to help you if you are patient.
I found the breakfast very good with a variety of food. The bar was a good place to start the night off.
Right accross the road is an interesting jaz bar with live music ending at midnight. Drinks not too expensive.
If you learn the subway and tram systems and venture away from the tourist area you will find dollar beer and home cooked food. Look for places that have a seperate English menue or non at all. All the pork and chicken dishes are great. .

Norway We spent 3 nights at the hotel Atlantic. Now it is about time someone gives this a rating other than 5. I did not sleep more than a few hours each night due to the fact that the bed was terrible. Hard as concrete and extremly uncomfortable. Maybe I would have slept better on the floor. When getting up in the morning my whole body was aching like I had been in a fight. And I am not in a bad shape.
As most reviews correctly say, the Hotel was cheap. Staff was very friendly and helpfull. But, it was not as clean as most reviews claim. The carpet was worn out and a bit dirty. The bathroom was clean with tiles. But nowhere to put your personal belongings. The standard of the rooms were simple. Ok, the room was spaceous, but very plain in its furnishing. Actually there was no place to sit and relax other than one \"office\" chair and a hard bench I guess they used as a third bed . There was no water heater so you could make your own coffee or tea. The paint on the window frames was flaking off and the frames were rotten. You could even see this from the inside.
The breakfast was buffet style and varied in its selection and quantity, but who wants to eat goulash leftovers for breakfast?
I might sound very negative. Still I would recommend this Hotel to anyone mostly because of its location very close to the old town and other attractions. The room rates count in a postive direction too.
