Germany This hotel is great, very well located. Room is clean and spacious. The buffet breakfast is very plentiful and offers everything. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. I had a problem with distance telephone in the room, the hotel staff offered a free calls from the reception.
The location is quiet yet close to all of the tourist attractions. It’s one of the best hotel I stayed in during my time in Czech Republic. I highly recommend this hotel.

England My friend and I stayed at the Atlantic for 3 nights. The location was really good. We walked into town, etc. and didn\'t have to use public transport at all. Breakfast was included and there was a good range of foods available. Rooms were clean, comfortable and were a good size. Good shower. Overall, I would stay here again.

Thompson I just spent three days at the Hotel Atlantic whilst attending a scientific meeting with two colleagues
This was a really good hotel with superb service and excellent value. The rooms were very clean and spacious. The breakfast menu was very comprehensive and the food was very good.
The staff were always very helpful and did their very best to help guests with any queries.
The free WIFI always worked which is essential for me. I can thoroughly recommend this hotel

Tananger Just back from a 4 nights stay at Atlantic where we had a very comfortable double room on 2. floor, facing the street. This hotel has obviously been through a major - and lenghty - facelift which may be reflected in previous reports indicating a great variety in room layouts, wear, sizes, decorations, furniture - and prices! We paid €130 p.d. through hotels.com. and got a practically new room with a nice bathroom (with a working shower!), - but without any shelf for personal \"beauty bags\".
Summarized;
- Our general impression was above expectations (ref to pictures and reports).
- We agree to practically all positive entries from previous guests - and to some of the negative ones.
- Yes, our quite new bed was somewhat hard and people with relevant bodily problems could get problems, although we slept very well.
- Very little street noise, allthough the tram was rounding the corner every 5 minute or so just up the street and a huge building was under construction a 100 metres the other way.
- The room was in a redish tone, from light pink to mahogony.
- Excellent service, both at the main desk, at breakfast and in the bar.
NOTE: No aircondition or other air circulation, except a light switch activated fan in the bathroom. In summer this room, facing south, may get hot and probably require open (double) windows during the night.
All in all we enjoyed our stay at the Atlantic and would not mind staying there again.

London Firstly I rated this as \'Above Average\' due to the cheap rate we paid for this hotel. We\'ve paid more for less in other places.
This hotel is ideally suited just on the edge of the Old Town. Which means no more than a 5 minute walk (if that). This is ideal because the old town can get quite noisy with stag do\'s etc. But dont let the stag thing get in your way. There\'s more than enough bars/resturants to go around in the old town. (more on this below)
We found our room (2nd floor front) to big spacious, very clean, with a modern shower/toilet. It had nice little touches, like shoe brush, a free safe. plenty of towels etc. However top tip to anyone else going, try for a back room. This is because as other reviews have hinted at, it can be quite noisy in the morning (6am and earlier) with workman and bin collectors etc. Plus this hotel is near a junction where the rather cool but lethal trams speed around. Also there are some major building works going on a few doors down, which goes on it seems till very late and starts very early. This is March 07 and by the looks of it they have at least another 6+ months to go. So that can be noisy. But that didnt affect our stay here. We were too tired from all the walking looking at the histroic sights and enjoying the cheap beers along the way......
The breakfast is on par with other hotels in this price range in Prague it seems. Quite basic, but with the essentials, tea/coffee (nice) toast and fruit. etc to keep you going until lunch time. Which is all you can ask for. If you like a lavish breakfast, go somewhere else.
The bar is friendly enough, but dont forget a tip otherwise you\'ll experince the unmentionable Czech icey stare or comment.
Try turning left out the hotel for chepaer coffees/ resturants where it seems the locals go.
But overall the \'would we go back test\' ? Yes. We like our hotels to be clean, good facilities and good location. For the money we got just that. Now other tips for your first trip to Prague.
Do NOT use any taxis on the street. Do NOT exchange money when your approached (and you will be) on the street. Taxis for hire (except AAA) are not to be trusted. Our guide (and many others) said 99% of them will rip you off in ways you\'d never imagined and will resort to violence if they are not paid the criminally high fare they just thought up. Prague is a small place and most places are walked to within ten minutes. We used the much advertised CEEZ minibus for airport transfer .They have the price on the door and are a reputable guide/transfer service. Steer clear of anything else. MONEY: I can only imagine there must be a market for tourists looking to exchange real money for fake on the street judging by the amount of approaches we had (although they are not rude, you\'ll just get a whisper out of the corner of their mouth as you pass by). Now all I\'ll say is, if you fancy entering into a deal with one of these people, good luck spending the monopoly money you\'ve just been suckered in into swapping with your hard earned real cash. They use notes that look the same as Czech ones but are in fact fake or Bulgarian etc. There are so many banks for you to get the real deal, I have no sympathy with anyone thinking they can get a better deal with the shady character in the dark alley. We were warned of pickpockets, but taking the usual sensible precautions you\'d take in any other tourist spot, we did not experince any of this.
Prague is lovely. Each alleyway leads to somewhere new and you cannot get lost. .. unless you have had too many beers. Enjoy.
