Carlow, Ireland We went to Residence Nosticova for a romantic long weekend and that is what we got. Everything was exactly as described on the web site. There were no nasty surprises and we could not have been happier. Stroll to Charles Bridge in 5 minutes, the old town or the Castle in 10. Staff were professional and discrete and very helpful. Even when arranging a tour of the city for us they actually paid the tour rep, in cash, on our behalf.
Alchemist restaurant was very good, if a little pricey, and their sister hotel has a beautiful spa which we used twice. Again that is about 5 minute stroll away. House keeping was excellent and bedroom and bed were lovely and comfortable with easily controlable heating.
I would love to return to Nosticova when I next visit Prague. For longer stays a bigger hotel may be more suitable, just for the larger premesis and perhaps more \'life\' arount the place but for our little get-away it was perfect. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

Finland, helsinki I just came back from my long weekend from Prague. I found this hotel on this site and checked all the reviews on it. I must say that I was very much surprised that I have the same experience with it.
The weather in Prague during my stay was not that warm i thought will be. It was nice for sightseeing but to sit outside it was a little bit cold. i found our room very mice and similar to the pictures. Due to the special offer they have we chosen the Royal Suite Casanova. The spacious living room was decorated with wonderfull crystal chandelier and small kitchen that we did not use. Nice bathroom and very quite living room. All in the historical style but with satellite TV and Flat TV.
Staff from the hotel was very helpfull during our stay and aslo I must mention during our travel arrangements as well. The breakfast is really nice offering cold buffet and eggs or bacon of different style is offered by the breakfast staff and made a la minute. I would very much recommend this hotel for everyone who is looking for the hideway in the historical centre and people looking for the atmosphere of old Prague.

Bucks UK After spending a lot of time reading reviews and checking the forums I decided upon Nosticova for a 4 night break the first weekend in July. Although when we arrived it was pouring with rain, the hotel lived up to expectations. Room (Casanova) was exactly as portrayed on the web site with all aspects high quality and in perfect condition. The location of the hotel is ideal, less than 10 mins walk to Charles Bridge and on the right side of the river to avoid the late night partying crowds. The property is quite individual and gives you a feeling of \'romantic Prague\' with the hotel being able to provide all the services you need, however because it is small and not part of a large chain there are no, \'bed factory\' aspects. Also visited the sister Alchymist hotel for a massage - looks fabulous but appears to be much more expensive!

Bellingham, WA We just returned from a trip to Europe that included a 4 night stay at the Nosticova. I can only say wonderful things about the Hotel. We have travelled to Prague before and now would not even consider staying anywhere else. The location can not be beat---VERY central but on a quiet street. The room was lovely (we had booked one of the suites), and the staff could not have been more charming and helpful. Our room had a fireplace and one night we were having friends in so they sent us up wood and candles to help us entertain. It was truly magical. From that night on they sent us up a fresh bundle of wood and new candles, we felt VERY pampered. The breakfast is very nice and served in the Alchymist Restaurant that is connected to the Hotel. We only ate one dinner at the resturant, it is VERY fun and charming and would reccomend an evening there. My only words of caution are this---don\'t even consider getting a taxi that the Hotel has not arranged for you. They are wonderful about picking you up and taking you anywhere you need to go. The taxi drivers in Prague have earned their reputations as crooks, and should be avoided. I visited the Spa at their sister Hotel, The Alchymist and it was VERY disappointing. By the end of it I felt like they should have paid me, instead of the other way around, for the experience that they SO obviously needed. Maybe they are just working out the kinks (it is new) but I can\'t imagine they can get to where they need to be to compare to the quality of spas and services that are available.
Aside from that I can highly recommend this Hotel to anyone---it will only exceed your expectations.

Canton, MI We stayed at the Residence Nosticova in February 2006 for our honeymoon and we could not have been more satisfied. Our room (Casanova suite) was exactly as it appeared on the website. Actually, it was even nicer. It was lovely and decorated very nicely. There was a working fireplace (and upon check-in the staff offered to bring up fresh wood). We never used the fireplace though as the room stayed nice and warm without it. The room was very spacious with a nice sitting area, a dining table and small kitchen area, a nice-size bathroom, and great bedroom.
There was nothing we wanted that was not provided. The staff could not have been more pleasant and helpful from picking us up and dropping us off at the airport, taking us to and from the opera, recommending restaurants, etc. They all speak very good English and go out of their way to please you.
The location of the hotel is perfect. It is in a nice, quiet area of Mala Strana near the embassy buildings. We felt very safe walking around even at late hours. You are a five minute walk to Charles Bridge (castle side) and close enough to walk to almost anything including Old Town Square, Joseph, etc. And, there is a great little market less than five minutes away as well as a very convenient tram stop for #12 and #13 which can be caught from stops all over the city.
If you ask me, there is not a better place to stay in Prague. Oh, and I didn\'t even mention that their restaurant, Alchemyst Restaurant, is fabulous. A little over the top with the decorating, but the food was amazing. Best meal I had in Prague (better than Kampa Park) -- we ate and drank for over three hours!
What else can I say -- Nosticova is fantastic and I just can\'t find a negative thing to say.
