Yorkshire, UK We have just got back from a four night stay in the andels hotel and could not find any faults!!
We stayed in a club room and found the extra amenities well worth it! The room was lovely, HUGE bed, DVD player, free coffee machine, gym and free breakfast room service!
Breakfast was great, a large selection to suit even my fussy taste! We tried the room service for breakfast a couple of times and it was fantastic.
The hotel is a good walk from the main centre of prague, but the local shopping centre and Tesco\'s provides you with everything you need, including resteraunts and bars for your evening meal.
We walked into the main centre of prague every day and it was a nice way to soak up the atmosphere along the river, or the trams are a 1 minute walk from the hotel if you prefer!
If I was going to Prague again I would definately stop at the hotel andels again!

Drogheda, Ireland Just back from 4 days in Prague staying at Andel hotel room 410. What a great hotel.Stayed in super room with the most comfortable bed I ever slept in. Andels hotel is in an excellent location, minutes from all public transport(bus, tram and metro) which opens up all of Prague for super low prices.Breakfast was out of this world. What a selection of food. All fresh and freshly prepared. Even coming to end of breakfast service staff where still bringing out fresh food for those who might have slept a bit late.
Ate in Corleone\'s pizzeria as recommended by other reviewers and didnt let us down.Super meal and very cheap. Also ate in T.g.i. Fridays and also a very cheap and super meal.Overall Andel is a great area to stay in and has a great shopping centre with everything for shop addicts.
When visiting Wenceslas square and you have to eat I would recommend U Prince restaurant which has a great menu with pictures of all food available.Price was also reasonable for area it is in.
Looking forward to going back to Prague sometime in the future and returning to Andels Hotel. discsaber@yahoo.com
Ps if you are looking for a fast friendly and prompt service to and from airport look for CEDAZ shuttle service at airport

London My boyfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights during the middle of march and were recommended the hotel by family. We couldn\'t of asked for anything better, the hotel met and surpassed our expectations and allowed us to enjoy the city to the max.
About a 20 min walk from the tourist centre of Prague or 5 mins on the local underground network, the hotel allowed us to see all aspects of Prague city life. The andel area is a developing business destrict, with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants to help you enjoy your trip whether it be business or pleasure.
The hotel was great, brilliant service, our deal included a fantastic continental breakfast, which filled us up for all the walking and sightseeing we had planned. Great rooms - very comfortable beds and I loved the bathrooms!
A great hotel and brilliant value for money.

London The hotel was great, stayed two nights. Very clean and crisp hotel, great bathroom although the toilet did smell a bit as the last guest had peed on the floor, I am assuming they decided to do the late checkout (at a small cost) after the room had been cleaned. However the next day the room was cleaned and it was fine. I booked a taxi with www.prague-airport-shuttle.com a wise move, very friendly and some great advise for getting around town. On arrival we asked if we could have a room with a bath and were upgraded to the fifth floor, so we did get a bath but this floor has a smoking area by the lift so is a bit smokey at times when you go up or down.
The staff were very attentive and courteous, the breakfast was a good selection, what you would expect if you had paid full price, but the usual fair - not sure why people thought it was \'amazing\' it was good but the same as most hotels I have stayed in of a similar cost. The staff did tend to take your plate away just as you finished your last mouthful; it did make it feel a bit of a production line. Food around the hotel is mainly KFC, McDonalds and Tesco - however the saving grace is a very nice Japanese restaurant two mins around the corner from the hotel, not cheap about 1200 Crown (£30) for a good meal for two - the green tea is free though - Bonza! Eating in Prague is mainly Steak and Pizza on the streets the one (no joke) Mexican place to eat is good and about 600 Crown (£15 for two courses and a drink) - if you go to the old town you can get a riverside restaurant with good food but a good price and you need to book.
The hotel is about a mile from town, easy to buy a tram ticket from the Tabac shop for a day / three and use 9, 20 and 12 to get to the main spots (it\'s not a major walk either); mind you get the one going the right way though as we stayed on a number 9 thinking it would go in a loop but it didn\'t - we ended up about 3 miles out of town in the a hole of nowhere in an area of crumbling communist tower blocks - the real Prague I guess but a hop across the track and a 10 min wait got us back the right way.
As for Prague - we went for a wedding that was called off last minuet so took the choice of not loosing the money we had paid for flight, insurance, car park etc. I would not recommend March as a good time to go, the weather was fairly grey and cold, not much green about and some things were closed such as the funicular railway. On the Saturday (24th March) was a half marathon, some of the town was closed off, the evening had a Euro 2008 game against Germany - we avoided the town in the evening due to rowdy fans in the day - a good job as a bar was burnt out that night and a fight ensued in the old town.
As for Prague I found it way too commercialised for my liking, Tesco, Marks and Spenser, Debenhams, Next... WTF? Where did Prague go I thought, perhaps in a race to get things on track after communism big companies such as McDonalds do seem to have the biggest foot print and the most to gain and have thus taken some of the history away from the streets. As such I was left feeling that Prague was a cross between Oxford city and a Slough trading estate. I was lead to believe Prague was a city of romance and interesting architecture but sadly this was not quite the case. The city was full to bursting with tourists from every nation under the sun, including lots of school parties from France and Spain and this was off season so I cannot imagine what it would be like in June / July. Prague seems to be geared up for Stag doos to the n\'th degree, we saw a lot of groups of UK \'lads\' doing their bit to reassure other nations that Britt\'s abroad are the Morons of Europe.
The public facing people in Prague I found genuine and good humoured, when you walk down the streets though you do tend to get batted out the way by the locals rather than them move an inch out of your way (esp. the woman that look like Alan Partridges wife?!) , I would probably feel the same way though if my home town was full with people asking for Charles Bridge and then taking the micky out of your hair cut.
Given a choice I would go to Amsterdam for a city break, much easier to get around (local taxis can be trusted not to rip you off), a better choice of food in a closer area, a nice city to tour (if you avoid the stag doo tour areas), Dutch people are very friendly, the flight time is less than an hour compared with 2.5 from the UK to Prague and there is less dogs muck around the main streets in Amsterdam.

Limerick, Ireland We stayed at the Andel\'s Hotel for 2 nights. Our room was modern, clean and spacious with a nice glass bathroom.
The breakfast was excellent with a wide selection of fruit, cereals, hot and cold meats, cheese, fish and freshly baked breads and pastries.
The shopping centre across the road is well worth a visit - don\'t be put off by the shops on the ground floor - there is a much better selection of the first floor.
There is a subway station within approx. 2 minutes walk and there is plenty of taxis available - be sure to negotiate a price first though as taxi drivers are ready to rip tourists off.
