Prague, Czech Republic Hotels and Apartments

The Hotel is lovely. Our room was very nice and the breakfast was very good. We found the staff very helpful and polite. The only downside is the location. It is situated at the far end of Wencelas square and although it is walking distance to the old square and prague castle, it is a good walk. (at least 25 minutes to the old square and at least an hour to the castle) we found it was better to get the tram from one block behind the hotel. Number 22 or 23 takes you right up to above Prague castle and then you can spend the day walking back to the hotel taking in all the sights and then still have some energy left to go out again in the evening.

Dieses Hotel, welches äußerst zentral gelegen ist (Eine Straße vom Wenzelsplatz entfernt)bietet neben einem sehr sehr üppigen Frühstückbuffet unter anderem noch einen Whirlpool-Bereich mit Sauna und allem was dazu gehört, den man zur perfekten Entspannung in ganz privater Atmosphäre mieten kann. Das Restaurant im Hotel (nur Abends geöffnet) hat uns leider nicht so gut überzeugt, der Service war in Ordnung aber das Essen war langweilig.

We chose this hotel because it was fairly central and fairly inexpensive, and we were pleased with the choice and would go back. It was lovely, the staff were friendly - although the breakfast waiting staff appeared to pride themselves on almost robot-like service - and the bar a friendly and fun place to stop for a drink on returning to the hotel. Its very close to Wenceslas Square, but it has to be said the square is not a beautiful part of town, but prague is small enough to walk easily into the historic bits and the tube and tram systems are straightforward. Some of the streets nearby looked a little bit down at heel and had some dodgy looking shops on them but the hotel itself is on a nice enough but busy street. the rooms were lovely, clean, etc and we were hardly in the hotel other than at breakfast because there was so much to see in the town. Don\'t miss Fred and Ginger on the river if you like modern architecture. We liked the metronome at the top of the hill, and its a lovely walk up there - we went at dusk - the park was full of people and didnt look dangerous and the dusk view of the city was well worth it. The road up - Pariska street or something similar has loads of designer shops on, is rather lovely. travel in from the airport is very cheap by public transport - if you dont have too much luggage to carry, it was definitely worth it.
