Hotel Seven Days

Bitonto (BA), Italy

Cardiff, Wales

This is probably the nicest hotel we have ever stayed in. Our standard room was spacious and had a huge, comfy bed; the bathroom was very clean, and the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The self-serve breakfast was delicious and is served between 7 and 11. The hotel is on a busy road a stone\'s throw from the National Museum at the top of Wenceslas Square, a very convenient location and despite the traffic, the room was very quiet.

Two tips: the road outside is a bit of a nightmare to cross, but when the pedestrian light turns to green just go for it and walk across, and then the cars will stop for you! Be careful. Secondly, watch your bags on busy metro trains. The metro is a great way to get around quickly, and it\'s very cheap, but we had a wallet stolen.

We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone and want to return.

This is truly a 3-star hotel pretending to be a 4-star hotel. First, the good stuff:
1. Located 1 block from the metro and 1 block from one of the city\'s main shopping streets.
2. Old building with good-sized rooms with tall ceilings.
3. Cheerful, good-sized, modern baths with a tub that a 6\'4\" man could almost fit in.
4. The \"Pit and the Pendulum\" restaurant, a few blocks away (on a side street), very good food, cheap prices, menu in six languages.
Now the bad news...
1. Beware of the in-room porno! As you channel-surf, you will land on the porno channel and IT IS NOT CENSORED! When I came across it, the performers\' \"private parts\" were so upclose, I felt like I was one of the actors!
2. The breakfast room was bright and cheery but you got the feeling that the chef really doesn\'t know how to cook \"Western\" food. It wasn\'t bad-tasting; it just didn\'t taste exactly like eggs (for example) as we know them. I was also surprised that the orange juice was canned.
3. There was a bar off the lobby and the breakfast room served dinner (which the hotel invited all the guests to via flyers they put under your door) but it seemed that few people ate dinner at the hotel and the bar closed early most nights.
4. Biggest disappointment: location. This is at the far end of the part of Prague that would interest tourists. All in all, it was fairly quick to get to most places, but since you\'re at one end, you\'re constantly passing through areas that you\'ve already been to. (If the hotel were more in the center, you could walk in different directions, each day, without passing thru the same area).
Bottom line: If you can\'t find other accommodations, the Seven Days is a good-quality THREE STAR (that thinks it\'s a FOUR STAR) hotel. If you go with that attitude, you\'ll be fine. And be careful when you\'re channel-surfing.

Bayern

Stoke-on-Trent, England

THE GOOD
1. Very clean hotel, rooms, reception, bar etc.
2. Friendly staff
3. Nice breakfast (Hot and cold buffet)
4. Very comfy bed
5. Everything in the bedroom and bathroom fresh and clean
6. No noise in the rooms from neighbours or outside
7. Reasonable prices in the hotel bar

NOT-SO-GOOD
1. Position. A little too far from the Old Town and on the edge of the tourist attractions. Learn to use the trams and this is not a big problem. Otherwise pick a hotel in the Old Town (Stare Mesto) or the Lesser Quarter (Mala Strana)
2.No tea/coffee making facilities in the room
