Hotel 987 Prague

Towcester

We spent 4 nights at 987 and thought it was great! We found the staff very friendly and helpful, especially the girl on the nightshift who helped us out a few times and was always smiling.
Room was fabulous and the shower was amazing!
Breakfast was good but the weekend staff were a bit slow off the mark as things ran out but very good selection.
It\'s so easy to get to the old town by either foot or tram.
If you want to get a quick bite to eat and don\'t want to travel into town, we found the tapas bar/restaurant 2 mins away near the train station, very good and cheap and great Cuba Libres!
We really enjoyed Prague and didn\'t want to come home!

Athens, Greece

We have just returned from a week at Prague. The hotel is magnificent and the service we experienced was incredible . Our room was so lovely that it was hard to drag ourselves away from the hotel. prgaue was magnificent as well!!!

South Shields

Just returned from 4 nights in Prague at Design 987 hotel. It was overall brilliant in every respect. When we arrived, the service was brilliant, we were shown to the fabulous glass orange lift and found our way easily to our room via the orange corridor lightning! Our room was exceptional, very clean and the biggest bed ever! The bathroom was very very modern with the biggest shower head i have ever seen, it was so good in fact we are now thinking of getting one installed in our house! We never used public transport when we were in Prague, we walked everywhere. The hotel is about 15mins walk from both Wencesleas Square and The old town. We timed it on day in 34degrees seering heat and it took us 35mins to walk back to hotel from Charles Bridge, however it is a beautiful walk and if you walk down the back streets you will be shaded and discover lots of little treasures! Although you are warned to be wary of pickpocketers, we did not see any crime at all and there were always lots of police walking around. The people are very friendly and it is a very safe, clean and beautiful city. Oh, and the breakfast at the hotel is fantastic, a choice of cereals, pastries, fruti, youghurt and fresh breads but the pice de resistance was ofcourse the bacon sarnies!!!

Oslo

My boyfriend and I stayed here for four nights, and we loved everything about it. Big enough rooms, the best shower ever, clean, stylish and great location. The piccolo(a young man) was so nice, and our experience with the other employees was good, nothing over the top, but average. The only thing was that when we checked out, the girl that had the morning shift was sleeping in the backroom, and it took her a while to wake up. It wasn`t a big problem, but a bit unproffesional.

The breakfast was really good, with a lot of variety. Once again, the location was great, 5 minutes walking and you are in the heart of the old town.

The hotel across the street(boscolo, carlo IV) is a 5-star luxury hotel(if you want to pay more for a better hotel, choose this hotel!!!), with a beautiful brand new spa. We payed a little fee, and used their spa. They had turkish bath, steam room, sauna, jacuzzi and a huge pool area. This I higly reccomend after walking for hours and hours.

If you want a stylish, contemporary design hotel, safe, good location and clean rooms, choose this hotel, you will not regret!!!!
have a nice trip to prague, the city is so beautiful.

Brighton, England

In many ways this is a pretty good choice if you want a mid-range hotel in Prague that\'s reasonably close to the action.

The rooms are superb, with a real effort made to make them a bit different from your average hotel. Facilities are above average and I have no complaints about the cleanliness.

As far as the location goes, it\'s probably about a 10 to 15 minute walk from the old square. Many people have commented on how it is far enough away to be a decent quiet option, although really it could be 5 minutes closer to the square without being any less quiet.

The service however, is so bad as to be comical. When we arrived the staff behind the counter at first ignored us, then simply told us to \"WAIT!\" whilst they continued their light-hearted chat between themselves for the next few minutes. When speaking with us though, they somehow became far more surly!

Their finest moment though was when we were waiting at the hotel bar, which was supposed to be open for another 5 minutes but had no one behind it. The staff however were all chatting in the lobby, and could see us waiting at the bar. We waited patientally for 6 or 7 minutes until approaching them in the lobby. At this point they checked the clock and informed us that the bar closed 1 minute ago! Marvelous!
