Ramada Grand Hotel Symphony

Kansas

These people who write such glowing reviews either don\'t get out much or love Prague so much they overlooked the hotel. I had an experience with rude staff, bad airconditioning, no WI-FI or working internet service in my room, television problems.... They were rude, didn\'t have my reservation even though i had written confirmation, could not solve any problems, had a closed reservation center and a weird hallway elevator setup, requiring two different evevators to get to only the second floor! Eventually I checked out within a few hours. For the same money you can do MUCH better in Prague. Heck, just sleep on a bench out front and you may be just as happy!
Lesson learned: Ramada in a foreign country is just as bad as Ramada in the USA.

England

I stayed at the Ramada with my husband and another couple last Febuary.I foung it a very comfortable hotel, our room was very spacious and the central heating welcomed as in Feb the weather freezing!
We had a large bathroom with bathtub, although our friends only had a shower and smaller room,(mabye better off requesting a bath whilst booking if required). The buffet breakfast was a great way to start you off for the day with a fine selection of continental and english breakfasts. The location on Wencelas Square was excellent within walking distance of everything. The staff on reception were very helpful when booking our return taxi to the airport.

Ok sauf petit déjeuner un peu décevant

Jacksonville, FL

I stayed here February 19th. Check-in was simple, and valet parking (Euro 20 per day) was both easy and convenient. While Wenceslas Square is VERY busy, there are usually 2 parking spots open in front of the hotel. Park there and have the valet move your car to the monitored garage. Otherwise you will need to find your own parking (good luck!!!) then trek back to the hotel.

My single room was small, but comfortable. The en suite was modern, but lack of a tub was disappointing (though not unexpected in Europe). Ample storage, phone, reading desk and TV (with some English stations). I requested a quiet room which faced an interior \'court yard\' of sorts. It was not a pleasant view, however it was very quiet.

The included breakfast buffet was great. Large variety of pastries, cereal, fruits, cheeses, yogurt plus \'American-style\' foods such as scrambled eggs and American bacon.

There is a cash machine just outside the front entrance, so cash was easy to obtain. Loads of stores and upscale boutiques line the Square. Limitless numbers of bars and restarants are within easy walking distance. Old Town and the Charles Bridge were also within walking distance (perhaps 20 minutes).

My only complaint is the price difference between low season and high. I paid Euro 75 for a single in February (my friends stayed next door in a double at Euro 88 per night). Now here it is just a few weeks later and a double room for my next stay (April 24th) is a whopping Euro 175.

That said, I was so pleased with my last stay that I booked it again (even at the exorbitant price).

Stuttgart, Germany

We stayed at the Ramada Grand Symphony during our trip to Prague last weekend.

Our room was quite nice, very clean and comfortable. The only complaint I had was the lack of a bathtub, although the shower was perfectly acceptable, good pressure and lots of hot water. The breakfast buffet was well presented and tasty, all staff we came in contact with were very helpful and polite. Parking is available in a monitored lot for 20€ per day.

The location is absolutely fantastic, right on Wenceslas Square.

We plan on returning to Prague, and would not hesitate to stay at the Ramada again.
