Ramada Airport Prague

Ipswich, England

We stayed at the Ramada Airport Hotel Prague because it was near the airport. We had done our homework and discovered that it was not next to the International Airport , but a ten minute drive can hardly be called a long distance. We had hired a car in order to see more of the country so our transfer was simple.

Despite the fact that the hotel was next to an airport we heard no aircraft noise whatsoever, obviusly very good insulation!

the staff were welcoming and helpful the whole 5 days of our stay and when we discovered the threatened bomb scares and flight cancellations on 10th August we were assured that a room would be available, if required, for a few more days - fortunately we didn\'t need it but the offer was there!

the rooms where clean and comfortable, quite up to standard and the food very good especially the breakfasts!

All in all, we enjoyed our trip and yes, we would go back!

kidderminster england

we stayed at this hotel for one night ,waiting for a connection, when you book you are led to believe that its near to the airport, it is but not the main terminal , its near the south terminal and although you can see the main terminal ,theres no way you can walk to it. so you have to take a cab, which cost us around 450 czech crowns each way. youd think for the cost of a room there, i paid around £115 , they would have a courtesy bus . but alas not.
the room was spotless , noiseless and breakfast very good , the bed was exceptionally hard and i couldnt quite figure out how to adjust the air con. the bathroom was very good too. id reccommend this hotel for somewhear to crash , but its too far out for any other use except as a transit hotel. the jorney to the main terminal is about 7 minutes by cab.

Aberdeen, Scotland

Stayed for two nights on business trip as I was ariving late and leaving early.

Restaurant closes at ten, as does the bar so not that useful for late arrivals - especially as there is nothing around the hotel.

Room was clean and comfortable, with minibar (peanuts were my dinner!), and buffet breakfast was good.

Service was efficient, if not friendly.

I would recommend taking a taxi from the airport and staying at a hotel in the centre (20 mins) rather than stay in this hotel.

Port Washington, NY

This Ramada was a bit strange. They charge you 250 CZK to go to the airport which is a 5 minute drive. They put a bag of peanuts and a coke on a shelf and call it a mini-bar. My window in my 3rd floor room faced a runway to the municipal airport. The hallway kind of smelled a little funky. The most odd thing was that you had to put your room key card into a slot on the wall to activate the electricity to the room and keep it in that slot if you wanted to maintain that electricity throughout the day. Take the card out and within 5 minutes, the room goes dark again. Very strange.

Thank goodness I only stayed here 1 night, another would have been uncomfortable.

Seattle, WA

I stayed at the Prague Ramada Airport in October for 1 night because I had a flight leaving at 7 AM the next day. I also thought, looking online, that it was AT the airport (PRG) because their address is listed as the airport south terminal.

The hotel is NOT at PRG airport. It is at a lesser local airport that is separate from PRG by the full expanse of runways that they share. There is no way you can walk with luggage from PRG to the Ramada, which was what I thought when I chose it. You\'ll still pay $5 - $10 for a cab ride (depends on time of day) to take you on the 5 minute drive. For an airport/business hotel, they really should provide a shuttle service (and not give the impression that you don\'t need one since it\'s at the airport). Considering you can get a shuttle to downtown Prague for about $20, I would consider next time staying downtown where I can at least get to a nice restaurant and see some sights for the small extra round trip fare.

Having said that, the hotel is perfectly serviceable. The bed was actually very comfortable, and the windows and room were very soundproof despite being right in view of several runways. The hotel restaurant was surprisingly good, which is nice since it\'s your only choice. There is literally nothing else in the area. Once you are at the hotel, your night is done. Hotel staff were friendly but could provide little beyond the basics in the area. Room was clean and spacious, typical Ramada style.

Overall, it\'s fine if you must stay near the airport for a night, but don\'t think you won\'t still need a cab of some type. If you have the time luxury, there are many downtown hotels of similar price (this was about $150 for the night!) that are much more charming and put you in the heart of the action for a minimally more expensive shuttle ride.
