Manchester, UK Me and my girlfirend stayed here for 5 nights at the end of March. The Hotel has been upgraded within the past couple of years from 1 star to 3 stars and although the room was basic, it was a decent size, clean and overall perfectly acceptable.
The Hotel is located centrally a short stroll from Wenceslas square, within walking distance of the old town square and a pleasent afternoon stroll away from Charles bridge and the castle (or you can get the tram).
The Hotel staff were great, no problems at all. They were even happy to pose for a picture for another guest upon her checkout, as well as
arranging a cheap taxi back to the airport for us when we left.
Although we paid for breakfast we didn\'t bother with it any of the days we were there so I can\'t comment on this.
The Hotel section of the building is completely separate to the Hostel section; if this kind of thing concerns you there\'s no need to worry! We alse tried the attached restaurant \"Pasta E Basta\" on our first night and it was pretty poor. However, with the abudance of great bars and restaurants in the area there\'s no need to visit it really.
We paid £218 between the two of us for 5 nights including breakfast through Hotelopia, which for a 3 star hotel in central Prague is very good value indeed.
No complaints at all, would definitely stay again.

Newcastle Upon Tyne, UK We travelled as a family of 4 (2 adults, a 4yr old and an 11 month old baby) on a limited budget. The hotel was ideally located - no more than 5 minutes walk from Wenceslas Square and the city centre. Rarely have I met reception staff who are so willing to pass on information about their fair city and this I found to be such a pleasure. All staff were very polite and genuine. The rooms were surprisingly large and well equiped with good clean bathrooms. Satellite TV, fridge, phone & alarm clock. Could have done with coffee facilities but there is a bar at the entrance to the hotel - good food too ..and cheap ! Reception also stocked a good amount of basics - water, toothpaste, ice creams, cigarettes, soft drinks etc. and also had a free to use safe. Some noise from the bowling alley underneath but not enough by any means to annoy. Good breakfast - cereals, cold cuts & cheese, and good coffee !
Overall I would not hesitate in recommending this hotel. Superb location and very functional. Hats off to the reception staff - very friendly indeed.

Canada Upon arrival, the staff first tried to tell us we made the wrong booking. Fortunately, my friend still had the printed email. We were there over Christmas Day and the staff made us feel so unwelcome, we joked about how horrible they were. The hostel part of the hotel had decor exactly like that of a mental hospital, the only thing missing was padded walls. The noise carried so much, I swear that you could hear a pin drop 5 rooms down. Every staff member we talked to was somewhere between hanus and unpleasant. To top it all off, two weeks after we stayed, they tried (and still are) to charge my friend for 'not showing up'. We have since heard of a lot of nice hostels in Prague. My only advice: LOOK ELSEWHERE.

Atlanta, GA We stayed in the Hostel part of this establishment (there is a hotel and a hostel). I tried to get reservations at the more highly recommended locations, but they were booked (it was early September), and other locations we looked at did not have a place to park our car (warning, anything bigger than a compact will be a squeeze, at best. A mid-size would have been virtually impossible). The rooms were not large, and rather plain, but we have stayed in much less appealing hostels. We were pleased with the breakfast, which included your basics, with meats, cheeses, etc. (and rather bad tea). The staff was pleasant enough, and helpful when asked. They pointed us to a very nice, inexpensive local restaurant just down the street (with a Gambrinus sign). This place would not be my first choice as a place to stay, but I would not hesistate to stay there as well if that was what was available, and the price is very good for what you get (location, etc.).

England Breakfast - If you like random meats and floppy cheese you will be very happy. Other than that... TGI Fridays for breakfast and cocktails.
Rooms - Basic doesnt quite cover it. Metal frame prison beds.
Stairs - Far to many. HELL.
Showers - No locks, moldy with a material door.
Toilets - No locks, smell carrys very far
Windows - break far too easily.
Other comments - if you make a noise they call armed cops to come and shout abuse at you, and presume your Irish.
Full of Swiss and Germans.
