Prague, Czech Republic Hotels and Apartments

Stayed at the hotel Dalimil in October. Was suprised when looking for a hotel at the prices of hotels in the city, but got a room at this hotel for €69 per room per night, for a double with breakfast through euroagenteur. We were torn when booking between this hotel and paying more for what looks like a fantastic hotel, andels design hotel. decided in the end that we were better off in this hotel, because prague is such a beautiful city that we spent most of our time out and about anyways.

FIRST IMPRESSION
very basic hotel, in an area that doesnt have much going for it (except that you get good food much cheaper than in the touristy centre). The room was well sized however, and everything was spotlessly clean. room had tv, telephone, ensuite.

AREA
about a half hours walk from the centre, although you can do it in about 10 mins by tram (#9) which stops just up the road. We preferred to walk, thats what a visit to prague is about. fairly run down area, though i didnt feel it was dangerous.

FOOD, CLEANLINESS
i have to say that ive come across better breakfasts. there was however yoghurt, fruit ham cheese rolls and cake, and im sure there must have been cereal of some sort. the hotel was very clean.

VALUE FOR MONEY
although we did find some cheaper decent places in town, they were sold out when we booked. if you are looking for a cheap decent place to stay in prague, this is perfect.

Von diesem Hotel aus kann man die Stadt gut zu Fuß erkunden.Das Hotelpersonal ist freundlich und die Zimmer sind schlicht eingerichtet und sauber. Für einfache Ansprüche ist das Hotel also mehr als ausreichend....
