Alfred Delightful hotel in a quiet setting but within walking distance of main square and key attractions. Very clean and modern with very friendly and helpful staff. Reception on arrival most friendly.
Sound proofing very effective as we did not hear a sound from either the corridor or neighbouring rooms. Rooms perfectly adequate and breakfast room nice and bright and breakfast food plentiful and varied. Table service most efficient.
Did not use the gym so cannot comment .
Booked a trip through the Concierge who was very helpful and took time to carefully explain various options available. Did use the computer room and a problem with a printer was fixed as soon as we reported the difficulty.
Would certainly stay at this Hotel again.
One general point about Prague was on two occassions our change was not right. Once in a cafe near the Cathedral and once in a cafe in the Town. Apart from these experiences a most enjoyable stay.

Vassilis I had seen all the reviews for this hotel before I stay there. For example, all the reviewers agree that breakfast is excellent. In fact, breakfast was very good, but in the 5-star hotels breakfast is much better. The hotel is a new building, with modern decoration, situated in the heart of the old town of Prague. The guest rooms are nice, but there is not a restaurant in the hotel, and the public spaces (reception area and a bar, all together) are of small size. Nevertheless, Josef is a very good hotel in its category (4-stars, not above), and represents a good option for a short stay in Prague.

New Jersey The Hotel Josef is an excellent choice for a trip to Prague. Although a small hotel, there is an outstanding breakfast served, a lobby bar, and a concierge on duty until ten at night. In addition, the hotel is very conveniently located; walking to the main square is simple and there are numerous restaurants that are also within walking distance. The concierge offered dining suggestions (at a variety of prices) for each of the four nights that we were there.
We would definitely stay at the Josef again.

JTF The good:
Great location as it is five minutes walking to the main square and is located in the old town. The neighborhood is very trendy with cool bars, shops, restaurants all around the place.
The design is contemporary, clean, cool. Rooms extremely quite and clean, refreshing.
Service was excellent. They have drivers that will take you same as a cab but nicer cars and more convenient.
My colleague left his passport in the safe and they immediately ran it to the airport for him- top, top service.
Great breakfast.
The bad:
Wireless only works in the lobby. From the room you need a cable which the hotel will provide, but it restricts you to the desk. If Wireless worked in the rooms, it would receive excellent ranking.
The bar in the lobby is too brightly lit, and no one really socializes there.
TV had very few channels.
Summary: Will definitely stay here again, I did not see any better places in my time in Prague. Great value for the money!
