New York My husband and I stayed here for one night. We are world travellers in our 30s. We booked here last minute (the night before we checked in) and got a rate of Euros 140-160. They said we would get a double deluxe room facing the castle, but when we checked in the following morning, we only got a double room facing a rooftop. We didn\'t complain as we were too tired to bother.
The receptionist seemed quite helpful, but ended up making a few mistakes. She promised to look up a bus schedule for us to get to Cesky Kumlov and have it ready by noon. We came back in the afternoon, and it wasn\'t ready. When we asked her again, she looked it up, but apparently, it was for the wrong day. So, the next day, when we took a cab to the bus station, it was to our great surprise that there was no bus running at the time she indicated to us. So, we had to take another cab ride to the train station. You can imagine how annoyed we were.
The room was average. The breakfast was ok. Nothing to rave home about. Overall, the only reason I would stay here again is due to its location.

Lancaster We have stayed at Na Kampa 15 twice this year as we got married in Prague on our second visit and wanted to check the accommodation before recommending it to friends and family to stay at. We had fantastic stays on both occassions- the location is fantastic, the rooms are well decorated and comfortable. Everbody was very pleased with their rooms and the service the hotel gave. The staff worked exceptionally hard and you would often see the same people serving your breakfast on a morning and your beer at night. Two things to note- there is no lift and the beds are two singles pushed together HOWEVER we looked around a number of other hotels and this is very common. If you book a Cedaz minibus from the airport give the name as Na Kampa 15 rather than U Karlova Mostu as they found it easier to locate the hotel. I will definately be staying at this hotel on my return to Prague!

Isle of Man We stayed at this hotel from the 17th to 21st December last year.We made our own package flying with czech airways from manchester, then a pick up booked through the hotel. This hotel was booked through the strength of the reviews on this site,we were not disappointed.Everything from the location, to the rooms, service, and food were excellent. Our room overlooked the little square were there was little stalls selling mulled wine and gluhwein,(recommended),and home made craft items. The whole of Prague was so picturesque made more so by the snow we had while we were there,it was so nice coming back to the hotel after walking around the sites of Prague as the hotel was so warm and cosy. The staff at the hotel were so freindly and helpful i could not fault them, they all spoke perfect english. A retaurant you must check out while you are here is the Triton restaurant in Wenceslas square, its ambience and food and service are second to none if you want a very romantic dinning experience. It is a little pricey around £100 for two with a nice bottle of wine and drinks and thats for three courses, check its website you wont be disappointed. If you intend to go at xmas try the triedlienke on the stalls its like a hot danish pastry and the roast pig aswell, all washed down with a hot mulled wine, delicious.Just a word of warning be carefull about buying tickets for concerts from street sellers, they are not what they are cracked up to be, We bought two tickets to see what we thought was a concert but was actually a woman singing a few songs accompanied by a man on a saxophone in the upstairs of an old historic library, but we saw the funny side.If concerts are your thing go to the actual concert hall box office. If you are a collector of glassware this is the place for you some pieces are breathtaking and are quite reasonably priced. This xmas break for ourselves was one of the most wonderfull experiences we have ever had and would not hesitate to go back to the U kalova,It made our holiday something special.

UK We have been meaning to write this review for ages and have only just got round to it!
We went for 3 days in March 2005 and had a brilliant time. The hotel is fantastic - quiet position but close to everything. The staff are very helpful and on hand to answer all questions.
We had a two room suite which looked straight out at the Charles Bridge - I doubt there is a better view in Prague!
Looking at other reviews below, the bathroom was small but totally functional and would rather have a small bathroom to keep that view!
The breakfast was nice, but you need to be down in the first half of the sitting otherwise the food can run out.
We had lunch and lots of beer in Pub I. Really good food and beer and very well priced. Try the devilled meats!
Really cannot stress enough how great this hotel is - and coming from me that is praise indeed as I usually swap rooms 2 or 3 times before I am happy in a hotel!

Egypt We have just returned from Prague we stayed at U karlova Mostu. The hotel is magnificent the location is unique on Valtava river overlooking the Charles bridge. It was so lovely our very big room campaigned with a baby cot for our 18 month baby, the radiators make the room very warm especially that we traveled in 24 the of November and we stayed there for 6 days. the hotel located in the lesser town which is definitely the best touristy place to stay with walking distance to almost all the city attractions and the shopping area, the breakfast has a plenty of international choices and of course we fall in love with the city from the first sight a very cultural city with a lot of places and things to do such as:
a grand city tour, Prague cattle, kutma hora, concerts at municipal house and St. Nicolas church. Prague Venice cruise, old town square, Don Giovanni marionette opera, Kalovy vary, folkloric evening and ceske krumlov and of course Wenceslas square for shopping, Jewish Prague.
it is easy to stroll and go every where with your baby u can buy souvenirs but take care that almost all the surroundings Prague castles are closed from November to April
the period at the end of November will make u take the flavor of the Christmas with all the decorated streets and markets and also prevent the crazy season prices.
the temperature was below zero which is chill especially for someone coming from a sunny country like me (Egypt)
there is no many options for vegetarian people here but pizza and pasta, the transportation tickets are very tricky , take care if u will go with funicular car to pertrin hill because of the line controllers that even if you are not aware of the ticket policy they will charge you with 500 Koruna penalty
also take your kettle with you while traveling as the hotel does not provide one at room , ask for a room with view in the second floor maximum if you have a baby as there is no lift.
I booked the Hotel on ---- and i got a special deal offer.
