Manchester We stayed three days in Sept 2007, and had a wonderful time. We were in room 21, on the third floor, and although there was no lift, the stairs are easy. Our room was large, and cool, with windows onto the river - lovely to wake up with the reflection of the water on the ceiling. The bathroom is very small but adequate, but for a longer stay it would be cramped. The breakfast was fine, but it would be nice to have real orange juice included, rather than being charged extra. The hotel\'s restaurant is full of character, in vaults, although the food is not the very best in Prague. The service in the restaurant is great, quick and attentive, and they let us take a glass of wine upstairs to finish in our room - although as another review says, the minibar is well priced. The location of the hotel could not be better, close to the centre of interesting Prague, but quiet. Loads of restaurants and bars nearby, all good value. We ate by the river several times, watching the boat traffic. I would definitely go back here.

Keith Rooms were nice, but very disappointed with the service in the bar/restaurant.
We wanted a small beer each, so I asked at the bar (no mention of talbe service), we were ignored, then looked at us like we were criminals, eventually a man brought them over, turns out they just wanted to add a service charge to our bill, for walking past me with my beer and placing it on a table 4 feet away (the closest table to the bar!)
When we asked for the bill, they grossly overcharged us, (650 crowns for 4 beers!), mumbled \"including service charge\" and walked away ! I gave them 800, expecting change, but he refused, just put the notes in his pocket and walked away.
The rooms may be nice, but have a drink and something to eat somewhere else !!!

Bristol This hotel is in the perfect location. It is as close to one of the best locations in Prague, the Charles Bridge as you could want, this is also an excellent landmark for finding your way around the City. It is right next to the river and in a very quaint square but was not noisy. Perfect!
We took the bus (No.119) and the metro to the closest stop and then walked the rest. This was a 5-10min walk and was a nice way to start the holiday. A Taxi would have cost around £20. The bus/metro option cost under £2 for two of us.
The main attraction of his hotel is that it is close to everything but still far enough away so as not to be ruined by 100s of folk walking past the hotel making lots of noise.
We stayed here at the end of October of 2007 for 3 nights. This was in half term but was still considered by most people as being off season. This was great as it meant we did not spend hours queuing for any of the attractions.
When we were given our room overlooking the main square we were told straight away that we could change rooms if we were not entirely happy, there was however no need the room was great. The reception staffs were incredibly friendly and informative.
The room was large with a good en-suite shower room. There was no bath but this was not an issue as we would not have used it anyway.
Breakfast was a good continental spread with the usual assortment of eggs, sausages and bacon. Lots of cold meat, bread and cheeses to chose from. A very good start to the day!
The only negative thing I could say about the room was the bed. It was 2 twins pushed together. One mattress would have been better. They were comfortable, but still...
Prague is an incredibly beautiful place! Our stay at the hotel helped make it a great experience. I would have no problems with staying at this hotel again.
We booked with Lastminute.com and got a good price for the hotel.

Limerick I went to Prague for the first time with my boyfriend. We are both in our 20s. We wanted a nice sightseeing break. Booked this hotel through reservehotel.com, was definitely the cheapest rate. 250 euro for 3 nights. We were so pleasntly surprised when w arrived. Transport by taxi in prague is renowned for being unpedictable and expensive so the locatio of this hotel is amazing. We were literally at the charles bridge. Near loads of lovely restaraunts in lesser town. 5 mins from the old town and a 10 minute walk up to the castle. It was also only a ten minute walk to all the shops in the city too. Te room iself was fantastic!! More like a little apartment than a hotel room. Very very spacious and airy. Big Bathroom and great shower! My ONLY complaint really was that it was not a double bed but 2 twins pushed together and a bit of a gap. Bar that no problems! There is s a minibar in the room and the prices are a little dearer than if you left the hotel but we used it anyway and racked up a billl of about 900ck (about 35 euro) but when were checking out, they only charged us 500csk (about 20). If you have never been to prague and want a fab hotel in a great location go here!!!I cant think of anyone who it wouldnt suit!

Surrey This was our second visit to Prague, and we were so impressed with this hotel the first time, we stayed here again. The hotel is very well run and has a certain coziness about it, probably because of the location and setting (very quiet). Our room, although not luxurious, was very comfortable with great beds (quite hard) and linens/pillows. I think all the rooms have showers rather than baths so if you need a bath at the end of a day walking you had better check first!. Prague is a wonderful place full of character and history, but you need to be pretty \"fit\" to be able to venture to the side of the City where Prague Castle is located. Walking up and down the hills is quite demanding.
One word of advice; if you book the hotel on-line they seem to use a Travel Agency to confirm the reservations and I can\'t help thinking that you will get a better deal if you go direct to the hotel. For example, while we were there, the hotel was offering double rooms on a B&B basis for EUR 75. We reserved our room 4 months earlier at about EUR 120! Also, the travel agent seems to confirm all rooms as having a \"river view\". This is simply not possible, but don\'t be put off if you get a room at the front of the hotel, the view over the courtyard is delightful for its own reasons. If you definitely want a river view (including the Charles Bridge) I would suggest you confirm first.
Prague is not the \"cheap\" destination it once was and if you need to exchange currency (cash) shop around as the rates are spectacularly different with the banks being the best but they are not open such long hours.
Although in Prague you can definitely get \"fish and chips\" for a tenner (£10), dinner for two in a good quality restaurant will be no different from London (£85 to £100 for two with an average wine and service). Friday and Saturday nights are infamous for large groups of youngsters (predominantly from the UK) on stag and hen nights looking for the cheapest beer possible, particularly in the Old Town area. You have been warned!
