Sidney I stayed at the Riverside Hotel, Prague during September 2005 for three nights. The staff were fantastic, I had booked a standard room but upon arrival, the staff upgraded me to their riverside junior suite! It had a balcony overlooking the river and the views were extraordinary. The marble bathroom was possibly the nicest bathroom I have ever seen! The breakfast buffet in the hotel is very nice- an array of european style cold salads, meats, cereals, breads, baked goods plus hot meals, eggs made to order and all the tea/ coffee/ hot chocolate you can wish for! It is a very beautiful hotel and not at all intimidating. The location in Lesser Town is great; quaint part of town with fascinating architecture, not to mention an easy tram ride/ nice walk to Prague Castle and Petrin Hill. The restaurants in Lesser Town are also wonderful and there are many hidden gems such as the Music Museum which showcases a Czech microtonal piano! I have nothing but praise for this hotel- in Prague I have also stayed in New Town, Wenceslas Square which all the guide books and tourists recommend but it has nothing on Lesser Town, as a tourist it is highly unique and the Riverside Hotel affords a fantastic position right on the river and a nice walk/tram ride to anywhere you need to be.

Kampai We very much liked this hotel. It is quiet, because it is not in the tourist area, but you can reach all attractions by foot. It is a pleasant stroll along the river. If you don\'t like walking, you might not even like Prague.
Our room had a great view on the Fred &Ginger building across the river, and was very convenient, just what you expect from a SLH hotel. The staff at the desk was very very friendly, personal and helpful. Service over all was high standard. Breakfast was excellent.
As we drove to Prague by car, we were happy to find the hotel has valetparking with good security in place.
I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends. It is a perfect hotel for a short citybreak.

Jaja Just got back from being pampered on our long weekend break. We took the \"celebration package\" and every aspect of this establishment - from breakfast to the turn down service -is superb, even its location; thou this could be of a problem for those not used to getting places on foot but then there is the option of using the hotel car which is very reliable and inexpensive.

Solihull This was our first visit to Prague a city that we found to be really superb. There was so much to see and admire so at the end of a very tiring day of sightseeing it was nice to return to the Riverside Hotel.
We found the staff to be very friendly and the hotel facilities excellent. The bedroom was beautifully furnished and the bed so comfortable. After a good nights sleep and a refreshing shower followed by an excellent breakfast we were then ready to tackle more sightseeing.
I cannot fault this hotel and it my plan to revisit in the near future.

Alkaz The main reason for picking this Hotel was the reviews it was getting and also that its location was abit away from the main town so we knew it would be quiet.
Taxi that we had pre-arranged with Hotel was waiting for us in arrivals at airport with name plaque.
Arrived at hotel where reception was busy but we were directed to the bar for a free welcome drink, and then we were checked in and shown to our room and given a guided tour and bags brought to the room.
We had a booked a Junior suite but were surprised to find when we got to our room 601 it was a lot bigger than expected as it had a totally seperate living room from the bedroom with french doors. The views from the balcony in the living room were beautiful.Very modern appartement with Televisions in both the living area and bedroom and also the feature of speaker in bathroom, minibar, inroom safe and seating area on balcony. Also waiting in the room was a complementry bottle of wine in ice and fruit selection.
Another surprise was that on my birthday on the eighth the manager sent up a bottle of champagne.
The room was spotless and the bed very comfortable, so much so i wish i could have taken it home. A nice touch was that they came in about 8pm each night and turned down the beds and left out mats on the floor with good night and good morning on them and left out a chocolate next to the bed and changed towels in the bathroom if wished at any time. Also having bathrobes and slippers for you in the room added the extra touch.
Breakfast room looks even better than it does on the webpage of the hotel, vast array of cold foods from cereals to meats and cheeses. I would recommend the freshly made poached eggs. Screen projector showing pictures of outside the hotel is a nice touch. Staff that run the breakfast room are very pleasent and willing to help
The Hotel does not have a restaurant but it room service menu is very good and we used it quite a few times, price very good some times actually cheaper than eating out. Mini bar is a bit expensive but it is in the majority of hotels.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and remembered your name.
Would recommend the taxi service the hotel offers either a Skoda or Mercedes. Used the taxi service to go to the castle one day and they also picked us up again at time suitable for us.
I have seen on alot of reviews people mention the walk to the town taking 20 mins, we found you don\'t actually notice the walk as it a nice walk to town with all the old buildings and seeing the charles bridge. It is also nice to be a bit from the town as there seem to be a lot of stag and hen parties stay in the main town area. The hotel sell public transport tickets and as I said before they have a taxi service which is quite reasonable.
But the best bit of our trip was getting engaged on the eighth of august in our hotel room as it is such a romantic hotel.
Would recommend this hotel to everyone and we hope to visit again in the near future.
