Hotel Pachtuv Palace

Chicago

I couldn’t have dreamed up a more perfect hotel. This is a five star hotel. This place is amazing, it really is like staying in a chateau, our room (#212) was huge with two bathrooms, a dining room, living room and kitchenette. We kept joking that we could have a dinner party. The staff is so friendly and helpful, they really made our stay that much better. The drivers are nice and make you feel like royalty. The hotel is about 2 blocks from the Charles Bridge and near the old town center, we felt like it was a perfect location. We didn’t like the newness of the new town center as much as where this gem is. The price is great, location is great and the staff is amazing. The only thing I would say negative is I can’t quite figure out why the breakfast is so expensive, but no big deal, go out and eat breakfast.

Paris, France

Vraiment très bien situé. L\'hôtel se trouve dans l\'ancienne Ambassade de Suède. Le service, les chambres, l\'accueil... sont impécable. A recommmander absolument.

Scotland

Stopped here over the Easter period for 4 nights with my wife (room 210) and can honestly say one of the finest hotels I have stopped in, and we have stopped in some nice hotels over the years.
Staff were top notch, formal but friendly, smartly turned out and polite, nothing was too much trouble. The building is old and charming, immaculately restored, beautifully decorated, furnished and so so clean. The breakfast buffet was a wonderful affair great start to the day. Our room or should I say suite was massive with every thing we could possibly need the four poster bed, antique furniture, the drapes, the bathroom, the dressing room and office area , were all immaculately presented. I do not normally write reviews but this place was so special I think it deserves all the accolades it has received and some. If you want some thing a little bit special then book in here it is worth every penny, combine this with some of the finest restaurants in Prague and you have the makings of a perfect romantic break, we ate at the following three restaurants whilst we were in Prague and they were all top class The Bellevue, Kampa Park and La Perle de Prague all providing a fine dining experience with a lovely ambiance and views, whilst a little bit dearer than your normal restaurants they were in my opinion good value for money. For some thing a little less formal try drinks and a meal in the phenix café bar just adjacent to the hotel cheap drinks and really nice food.

Watford, United Kingdom

We stayed at the Pachtuv in early April, and found it to be all we had expected, and more. All the staff were friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome as soon as we stepped through the door.

The room was beyond our expectations, from the useful kitchenette, hidden in a cupboard, to the wonderful view of the river. All the furnishings were of a high standard, all-in-all a very well equipped suite. The spring sunshine had us sitting in the coutyard, another delightful experience, winding down with a drink after a day\'s sightseeing.

We had booked a \"cultural package\", which we found to be extremely good value. With this we had the room, with breakfast. Travel to and from the airport in a chauferred limousine. And most useful of all, two passes, one giving free travel on trams, buses and metro, and the second free entry to almost all the museums, castles and other places of interest.

Los Angeles

I read the review at Trip Advisor and decided to take a chance. Boy were we pleased. My wife and I had an enormous (750 square foot) suite overlooking the river and the castle. It was a first rate, elegant place to stay. I later stayed at the Four Seasons in Budapest (reputed to be one of the best hotels in Europe) and the Pachtuv Palace far exceeded it.
I plan to stay at other hotels in the same group.
If you go, ask for a room on the 2nd or 3rd floor overlooking the river.
