Hotel Raffaello

York

Stayed at the Raffaello for a 3 might break in February and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel is presented extremely well. Rooms are clean, spacious and wonderfully warm, exactly what you need when the outside temperature is -10C!
Breakfast was European buffet style so no full english on offer but a wide selection of breads, cereals, fruit, meats and cheese. More than adequate for the long day of sight seeing and shopping ahead.
Situated in the newer quater Hotel Raffaello has about a 30 minute stroll to Charles I Bridge and the Old Square. Could have been better located but of course if it was it would have been alot more expensive! Altogether its great value for money.
There's a tram stop just around the corner they're frequent, cheap and easy to use if you don't want to walk. For a scenic trip around the city catch number 22.
Prague itself is a beautiful city with a wealth of ornate buildings and churches of great historical and artitectual interest and value other sights are the castle, famous astrological clock and Charles I Bridge contrasted with a thrieving up to date commercial quater offering all the big name shops.
Pragues a beautiful city, clean and reasonably cheap with plenty to see and do though definately would not recommend you take children. Well worth a visit.

Sunderland, England

On Wednesday 15th March, together with my wife, I visited Prague and stayed at the Hotel Raffaello for six nights. Having researched it on Trip advisor I expected a decent hotel. What I got was something better than that. The location was very good, about four minutes walk from Wencleslas Sq., and if needed, the Metro and trams stopped fifty metres from the hotel.
The hotel was warm, very clean and quite well furnished. The breakfast was more than ample for a big lad. The staff were excellent, and I must give a special mention to ?Lenka and Hany? on reception. They gave me lots of hints and tips, which made life for me in Prague very easy. Another member of staff introduced me to the ?Pivovarsky Dum?, a micro brewery about 300 yards away on ?Jecna?. This brewery, pub and restaurant do about 8 different types of beer, which are excellent. Customers come in their droves with two, four and five litre bottles for take aways. On an evening they can fill four large rooms quite easily, and lots of people book, in order not to be disappointed. There are no stag parties or loud music, just very good food, very good beer, and very good value for money. And the staff, people tell me that the czechs are very dour, not this lot, Lukas (the barman), Anicka, David, and Ivana, were so pleasant that I have had to mention them. Thank you.
We travelled from the Airport to the hotel by public transport. Get a ninety minute transport ticket from the Kiosk, the 119 bus to ?Dejvicka? metro station, take the green line to ?Muzeum?, change to the red line and one stop to I.P. Pavlova. You will be about 50 metres from the hotel. The cost of the ticket 20 Kc, (fifty pence), but it will take you 15 mins longer than the taxi.
And Prague itself, Marvellous.

nottingham

we have just returned from a 3 night stay at this hotel and what a great choice we made. The hotel is beautifully decorated and very clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the breakfast as ample of choices. For the rate it charges we would say its excellent value for money and would recommend it .

Just got back from a 3-night stay at this hotel, once again Trip Advisor was a great help in my choice.

The hotel is well decorated and very clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was more than I expected with not only a great continental choice, but also hot bacon eggs beans and sausage. For the rate it charges we would say its excellent value for money and would recommend it.

Melbourne, Australia

We stayed here for 2 nights as part of a European trip.

The room was big with modern ensuite, and very clean.

The staff were helpful and there was a lift (although it is on the landing between floors which is a bit weird).

The location was good, about 20 mins walk to the old town, and right around the corner from the Pavlova metro station.

The breakfast was pretty avearge - we've had better.

The hotel advertises in room internet facilities, however there was no Wi Fi, and the alleged in room connection could not be found (there wasn't one in our room, or our travelling companion's room).
